For over 30 years, Mr. Huynh Van Hieu and Mrs. Phan Thi Van (residents of Phu Dong 1 hamlet, An Dinh commune) have been involved in the local cultural and artistic movement, making a significant contribution to enriching the spiritual life of the local people.
Driven by a passion for traditional art, the couple has nurtured a happy home, preserved exemplary cultural values, and spread positive values, contributing to the deepening of the "National Unity in Building a Culturally Rich Life" movement in the locality.

Every evening, the atmosphere at the Phu Dong 1 Hamlet Cultural Center becomes lively with the sounds of music and singing from the members of the traditional folk music club. Amidst the enthusiastic amateur artists practicing, Mr. Huynh Van Hieu diligently guides the young students through each song and musical rhythm.
Alongside him, Ms. Phan Thi Van, who has many years of experience in the mass arts movement, takes on the role of choreographer and director of the performance program. Their journey of dedication to culture began with a shared spirit and a deep love for the national artistic heritage.
For them, arts and culture are not just personal hobbies but also effective ways to enrich the spiritual lives of the community. The imprint of Mr. and Mrs. Hieu is clearly evident in all their activities, from arts and culture programs celebrating major holidays to competitions at the commune level and cultural exchange events serving people in remote areas.
Chairman of An Dinh Commune People's Committee, Nguyen Van Trung, assessed: The family of Mr. Huynh Van Hieu and Mrs. Phan Thi Van is one of the exemplary cultural families in the locality. Their quiet but persistent contributions have helped preserve local cultural identity and spread a positive lifestyle among the people. The success of these exemplary individuals is proof of the strong development of the cultural movement in An Dinh commune.
Currently, after the administrative boundary merger, An Dinh commune continues to focus its resources on maintaining and improving the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement, linked to the criteria for building advanced new rural areas.
The entire commune currently has 355 self-governing residential groups; 25 out of 25 hamlets meet cultural standards; the rate of culturally exemplary families reaches an impressive nearly 99%; and the rate of families participating in sports is over 70%. The system of grassroots cultural institutions has been systematically invested in, with 25 out of 25 hamlet cultural houses meeting standards; 132 clubs, teams, and interest groups operate regularly in fields such as traditional music, folk dance, football, health exercises, chess, etc.
In 2025 alone, the locality organized a variety of cultural and artistic programs, attracting large numbers of people from all walks of life, especially the political and cultural activities commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
This activity meets the need for entertainment and serves as a bridge to connect the community, effectively conveying the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the task of building new rural areas closer to the people through songs and music.
In the process of building advanced new rural areas, An Dinh commune has identified culture as the spiritual foundation and driving force for socio -economic development. The locality has built a healthy living environment by effectively maintaining the Sustainable Family Development Club and the Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Group in all hamlets. Exemplary families like that of Mr. Huynh Van Hieu are important nuclei for the movement to build a cultured way of life to continue spreading, creating a new, increasingly civilized, prosperous, and beautiful image for An Dinh.
