Young people live for the community.

With the belief that "as long as I'm healthy and able to work, I must share," for many years, Mr. Do Quoc Phap (Nong Son commune) has continuously spread the spirit of volunteerism, becoming a shining example in community activities.

From charitable trips to help people in mountainous regions to providing gifts for poor students, or risking his life to save people amidst raging floods, Mr. Do Quoc Phap has affirmed a kind heart and a sense of social responsibility.

In 2020, when natural disasters struck Nam Tra My, Mr. Phap and his volunteer group arrived promptly, bringing practical gifts to the people in the flood-stricken area.

In Tra Leng and Tra Nam, the delegation, on behalf of benefactors, distributed dozens of gifts worth nearly 100 million VND. In addition, the delegation continued its journey to Dong Giang, Quang Tri to support households in remote areas.

"The gifts may only be necessities, but they are incredibly precious to the people in the highlands. More importantly, they represent affection and encouragement, helping them to be stronger in life. I only hope that my small contributions can help ease their hardships," Mr. Phap shared.

Not stopping at just a few trips, from 2022 to the present, Mr. Phap and his companions have organized approximately 16 charitable trips in Nam Tra My, Dong Giang, Tay Giang, etc. In addition to providing food and necessities, he also mobilizes scholarships, computers, and books for poor but studious students.

In particular, in 2022, he and the Da Nang IT Service Association initiated the "Supporting Students in Highland Areas to Go to School" program at Vo Chi Cong High School (Tay Giang district). The program donated more than 6,600 notebooks, 90 calculators, 50 sets of 10th-grade textbooks, and many other gifts, with a total value of over 100 million VND.

This is a great source of encouragement, helping teachers and students in the highlands overcome hardships and continue their teaching and learning journey.

Besides caring for underprivileged children, Mr. Do Quoc Phap also regularly shares with lonely elderly people. In March 2025, he and a volunteer group visited the nursing home in Hiep Duc district, donating essential supplies and chatting with and encouraging the elderly residents.

Anh Pháp shared: “Helping someone in need is a joy, and also a way to live a more meaningful life. Seeing the elderly smile, their eyes welling up with happiness, makes me appreciate the value of these trips even more. That's the motivation for me to continue my journey of spreading love.”

Not content with just volunteer trips, in January 2024, during a major flood, Mr. Phap bravely plunged into the raging water to rescue a villager who had been swept away. Although he couldn't save the victim's life, this selfless act further highlighted the courageous spirit and compassionate heart of a young person who lives wholeheartedly for the community.

According to Mr. Tran Vu Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nong Son commune, Mr. Do Quoc Phap is a typical figure in the local volunteer movement.

"The image of a simple, kind-hearted, and courageous young person has spread positive energy, contributing to fostering faith and love for life, becoming a beautiful example for youth union members and the community to follow," Mr. Ngoc said.
