The shop also expressed its outrage and officially commented on the incident.

Accordingly, an anonymous account posting on a food group with over 800,000 members accused a sandwich shop on Quang Trung Street (Go Vap District) of being "thuggish" and assaulting customers, which has attracted public attention.

A complaint about a sandwich shop has caused a stir on social media.

This account wrote: "I'm posting this on behalf of my friend because I'm so upset on her behalf. This morning, at around 7 a.m., she just bought a sandwich, and the shop owner toasted it and put it in a plastic bag. She just asked if I had a paper bag, and the shop owner said, 'You're just buying a sandwich, why are you asking for a paper bag? How unreasonable…'"

Then she only returned the bread, not wanting to buy it anymore. The shop owner's daughter called her husband out, grabbed her by the neck, pinned her down, and shoved her forcefully outside, refusing to pay or let her take back the bag of bread. The couple threatened and cursed at her. When she got home, she had scrapes and bleeding on her elbow from hitting the iron frame of the door… This is a thuggish bread shop, everyone please avoid it."

The post, accompanied by a photo of the bakery with its clear sign, quickly received thousands of interactions, comments, and shares. Many expressed skepticism about the information's authenticity and requested that the poster provide clearer evidence.

User Văn Công Khánh Trình commented: "But how can you know who's right and who's wrong just by hearing one side? And we don't even know if it's true. If it is, we should call the police and ask for the neighbor's security camera footage to find out."

"I'm sorry, but if you post without images and use an anonymous account, I can't believe you no matter what you say," commented Trang Duong below the post.

The shop owner wants to have a written record made to clarify the situation.

According to our investigation, the bread cart mentioned in the incident is Mely bread shop located at 71 Quang Trung Street (Go Vap District). On December 14th, we visited the shop to investigate the truth behind the accusations on social media.

Ms. Nguyet Ngan (27 years old), the owner of the bread shop, confirmed that there was an incident involving a female customer who bought bread on the morning of December 10th. Providing the reporter with a video clip recorded by the shop's security camera of the incident, the owner stated that the accusations in the post were completely untrue.

The bakery opened at the beginning of October.

According to Ms. Ngan, that morning, a customer came to her shop and bought five loaves of bread. Afterwards, the woman who bought the bread had an argument with her regarding her frustration, wanting the shop to put each loaf of bread in a separate paper bag instead of putting them all together in one plastic bag.

"This customer lost her temper, started yelling, and kept pushing me away. Then she stormed into the shop. My husband saw that the customer was completely out of control, shoving me, and standing near the cash register. Fearing it was a staged incident with malicious intent, he went over and pushed her out. My husband only pushed her out; there was absolutely no strangling or shoulder-pinning as the post claimed," the shop owner recounted angrily.

Ms. Ngan said that an hour after the woman left, she returned to the shop with her son demanding a refund of 25,000 VND for the five loaves of bread she had bought. Ms. Ngan explained the situation clearly to the customer's son and then returned the money.

"Things would have ended there if it weren't for this anonymous post. From what I see, you're just hearing one side of the story, and posting without verifying the information from both sides is damaging our restaurant's image."

"In these tough economic times, we're already very happy to have customers stop by and support us, whether it's a sandwich with filling or a plain loaf. Those 5 loaves of bread and 5 paper bags aren't worth sacrificing the trust and support of our customers and our shop's brand," the shop representative added.

Reportedly, the bread shop was recently opened by Ms. Ngan and her husband at the beginning of October. The shop is open in the mornings and evenings. Following the incident, Ms. Ngan stated that the shop's business has been affected, and she has suffered significant losses. She hopes the customer will contact the shop to clarify the matter, and is ready to confront the buyer and cooperate with authorities to review CCTV footage to determine the truth.

The shop owner also stated that they would create a legal document detailing the aforementioned post to clarify its accuracy and the impact it has had on their business. According to an update from Thanh Niên newspaper this afternoon, December 14th, the anonymous account's post accusing the shop has been removed.
