All three Vietnamese athletes, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhi, Do Thi Anh Nguyet, and Le Quoc Phong, have been eliminated. Therefore, the Vietnamese archery team no longer has any representatives competing for medals in the individual events.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhi eliminated Hamroeva Nilufar (Uzbekistan) in the round of 16 of the women's recurve archery event. Do Thi Anh Nguyet also advanced after defeating Pak Hyang-sun (North Korea).
In the women's event, Le Quoc Phong advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Su Yu-yang of Taiwan (China) 6-4. Nguyen Duy was eliminated after losing to Abdullin Ilfat (Kazakhstan).
The athletes will compete in the round of 16 of the individual events this afternoon.

Nguyen Van Day was eliminated in the round of 16 of the 3-string archery event after losing to Verma Abhishek (India) 142-146. Nguyen Thi Hai Chau lost to Fadhly Raih Zilizati (Indonesia) 142-143.
In the individual recurve archery event, Le Quoc Phong defeated Chen Yao Yuy (Uzbekistan) 6-2 in the round of 32. Nguyen Duy also beat Taha Abdulla (Kuwait) 6-0.
Weightlifting
Quàng Thị Tâm failed to successfully lift 95kg twice. Her snatch performance was only counted as 92kg, making it difficult for her to compete for a medal.

The Vietnamese women's team defeated Japan 2-0 (21-11, 21-18) and advanced to the semi-finals of the four-person team event.
In the men's event, the Vietnamese team lost to Myanmar 1-2 (22-20, 19-21, 19-21) and failed to advance from the group stage.
Weightlifting
Quàng Thị Tâm lifted 92kg in her first attempt.
Hoang Thi Duyen failed at 93kg in all three attempts. She was not eligible to compete further. This athlete had previously achieved a snatch lift of over 100kg, but after suffering a serious injury in early 2021, she was unable to recover to her best condition to maintain that performance.

Quang Thi Tam and Hoang Thi Duyen are preparing to compete in the women's 59kg final. Kuo Hsing Chun from Taiwan, the world record holder and ASIAD record holder, is also participating.

Nguyen Van Day defeated Pakzad Armin (Iran) 146-145 in the round of 16 of the men's 3-string bow event. Duong Duy Bao tied with Pradana Dhany Diva (Indonesia) in points but lost on tie-breaking criteria and was eliminated.
Nguyen Thi Hai Chau eliminated Robles Andrea Lucia of the Philippines in the round of 16 of the women's 3-string archery event, while her teammate Le Pham Ngoc Anh was eliminated despite having the same score as Bybordy Geesa (Iran).

Phuong Quynh lost to the Iranian fighter in the semi-final of the women's 87kg weight class and won the bronze medal.
The Vietnamese sports delegation has won 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 13 bronze medals at ASIAD 19 so far.

Canoe sprint
The Vietnamese team, consisting of Pham Hong Quan and Hien Nam, finished 7th in the men's 500m double canoe final.
Therefore, the Vietnamese canoe and kayak athletes did not win any medals today.
Archery
Do Thi Anh Nguyet, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhi, and Hoang Phuong Thao defeated North Korea in the round of 16 of the women's team recurve archery event. In the men's team recurve archery event, Le Quoc Phong, Nguyen Duy, Hoang Van Loc, and Nguyen Dat Manh lost to Bangladesh and were eliminated.
Thus, in the team events, the Vietnamese team has 4 representatives who have advanced through the first knockout round. The athletes will compete in the individual events in the afternoon.
Kurash: Vietnam is sure to win a medal.
Vo Thi Phuong Quynh defeated Muhammedova Jahan (Tajikistan) in the quarterfinals of the women's 87kg category. She will face Bagheri Zahra in the semi-final at 2 PM this afternoon.
In the semi-finals, both losing athletes received bronze medals. Therefore, the Vietnamese female martial artist is guaranteed a medal.
Bui Minh Quan lost to Atayev Ishanmyrat (Tajikistan), and was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the under 90kg weight category.

Nguyen Thi Huyen failed to qualify for the women's 400m hurdles, achieving a time of only 58.49 seconds.
Canoe sprint
Nguyen Hong Thai and Nguyen Thi Huong narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing fourth in the women's 500m double canoe final with a time of 2 minutes 8.695 seconds. The Vietnamese team was in second place after the first 250m but was then overtaken by Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Do Thi Thanh Thao and Hoang Thi Huong finished 7th in the women's 500m double kayak final.

Nguyen Thi Hai Chau, Le Pham Ngoc Anh, and Voong Phuong Thao defeated Mongolia 228-205 in the round of 16 of the women's team 3-string bow event. Nguyen Van Day, Duong Duy Bao, and Tran Trung Hieu lost to Kazakhstan in the round of 16 of the men's team 1-string bow event and were eliminated.

The Vietnamese team defeated Laos in their second group stage match of the men's four-a-side event. In their third match, taking place at 1 PM today, Vietnam will face Myanmar. The winner of this match will advance to the next round along with Indonesia.

The archery team got off to a good start with victories in the mixed doubles recurve and triple bow events.
Nguyen Duy and Do Thi Anh Nguyet defeated Uzbekistan to advance to the quarterfinals of the mixed doubles recurve archery competition.
Nguyen Thi Hai Chau and Duong Duy Bao defeated Bangladesh 154-153 in the round of 16 of the mixed doubles 3-string archery competition.
