After focusing on composing songs for children (album 300 children's songs ) and patriotic songs (album Continuing the Story of Peace ), in 2025 musician Nguyen Van Chung hopes to turn a new page and pursue his forte, ballad music.

Nguyen Van Chung marks a milestone with the new chapter.

He released the ballad album " New Chapter ," his first product of the year. Nguyen Van Chung returns to writing ballads with a fresh perspective, full of experience after going through loss and pain, and is no longer the writer of his 20s.

"Having gone through many ups and downs and life events has given me a lot of inspiration for songwriting. The songs in the album 'New Chapter' talk about love, life, and people."

"Each song is like a friend sharing encouragement with the audience, helping them gain more motivation and energy to overcome challenges," composer Nguyen Van Chung told Tuoi Tre Online .

The album "New Chapter" has two parts. Vol 1 includes eight songs: "The One Who No Longer Loves Me," "Laugh and Cry," "Be Brave, Girl," "Don't Love Anyone Too Much," "When We Meet Again," "Then the Heart Will Heal," "The Ex Has a New Lover," and "Who Has Abundant Happiness," which have just been released on digital music platforms.

Album vol 2 also includes new compositions and is scheduled for release at the end of April 2025.

Invite a singer who is suitable for the song.

For the new chapter , Nguyen Van Chung invited the most beautiful and suitable voices for the song to record it.

What's special is that all of them are singers collaborating with composer Nguyen Van Chung for the first time, including Hoai Lam, Thuy Chi, Mai Tien Dung, Thai Trinh, Pham Hong Phuoc, Vicky Nhung, Nguyen Duyen Quynh, Nguyen Dinh Tuan Dung... and also some lesser-known voices.

Nguyen Van Chung shared: "I've always preferred sending songs to lesser-known singers, hoping they'll connect with the songs and turn them into hits. This is also a challenge for me, but the criteria for selecting suitable vocalists is always my top priority."

When asked if he planned to hold a live show to promote his new songs, Nguyen Van Chung said, "I hope I have the opportunity to hold a concert."

I'm happy that the audience still remembers Nguyen Van Chung's old hits, but I don't want to dwell on them anymore. Instead, I'm dedicating my time to composing new songs that reflect my current experiences.

This new chapter marks a turning point, but also offers a different, more insightful perspective on love. It emphasizes that you must create your own happiness, rather than waiting for someone else to.
