Many special programs on VTV celebrate national reunification day

Mr. Do Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of VTV, affirmed: The series of special programs celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is a media streak of special significance. To ensure quality, VTV has planned to prepare early, with all efforts on channels with wide coverage nationwide, as well as through VTV's digital platforms.

The news bulletins and political columns on VTV channels, from VTV1, VTV8, VTV9, VTV Can Tho, have all simultaneously increased the broadcasting of many reports and special topics about this important event.

Highlights include the programs "VTV Special" and "Documentary", with elaborate television products invested in and produced by VTV. For example, "VTV Special" with the theme "The Battle of Wills", with a story from the perspective of Mr. Craig McNamara, son of former US Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara. It is his inner journey of conflict when facing the pain of war caused by his father and the unspoken apology sent to the Vietnamese people.

_❝ Vietnam Television will broadcast live the national celebration, parade, and march on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on VTV1 from 7:00 a.m. on April 30 (from 6:30 a.m. on VTVgo). According to VTV, with a large scale of technical and transmission equipment: 6 mobile TV vehicles, 2 satellite vehicles, and more than 200 highly qualified technical staff, reporters, and directors from various units, VTV ensures the highest quality of broadcasting.

Another notable "VTV Special" is "Historical Broadcast", which tells the story of the takeover of Saigon television and the historic broadcast on the evening of May 1, 1975. Or "VTV Special" with the theme "Healing", the film tells the story of two American filmmakers, Bob Judson - a veteran who fought in the Vietnam War in 1968 and Dan Aguar - who grew up after the war. They tell the world about a heroic, kind and vibrant Vietnam.

With documentaries, many good films were sent to the audience on this occasion such as "Voice of Conscience", depicting the life of anti-war prisoner Eugene Wilber, a pilot and commanding officer who was shot down in Vietnam in 1969. The documentary "The Call", tells the story of peace lovers around the world who participated in protesting the Vietnam War through music. And there are other documentaries such as "I was born in 1975", "Saigon - The Day of Victory", "Half a Century - A Dream", "Secret Mission", "Before the Hour of Victory"...

In the art program section, "Joining Hands" is a program produced by the Vietnam Television Center in the Southwest region, broadcast live on VTV Can Tho channel at 8:00 p.m. on April 26. The television bridge highlights the great victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign through a meeting with historical witnesses in the Southwest region. The program "Song of Unification", broadcast on April 26 on VTV1, brings immortal revolutionary songs with the participation of many famous writers and artists. VTV3 will broadcast the program "Oh Time! Tell a Story" on March 27, an epic song praising the heroic Vietnam People's Army.
