A useful bridge between businesses and workers.

According to Nguyen Tay Nam, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Internal Affairs, immediately after the city implemented the two-tiered local government system, the Department of Internal Affairs advised the City People's Committee to issue a plan on supporting and developing the labor market and creating jobs for workers in the last six months of 2025, ensuring it is consistent with the implementation of the two-tiered local government system.

Organizing a mobile job fair in Tien Thang commune is of practical significance, serving as one of the solutions to promote labor market development and support businesses and workers in the commune and surrounding areas. This is not only an opportunity to connect workers with businesses, production and trading establishments, and training centers, but also a good opportunity for young workers to access the labor market, receive labor market information, and thereby learn and acquire basic knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to adapt to the fluctuations of the job market.

The Tien Thang commune job fair attracted 30 units and businesses, mainly located in the former Me Linh district and some neighboring districts such as the former Dong Anh and Soc Son districts, offering 2,180 job openings, training opportunities, and overseas employment opportunities, with diverse positions and professions and attractive salaries. Specifically: 678 positions were for workers with college or university degrees or higher; 561 positions were for those with intermediate or technical skills; and 941 positions were for unskilled laborers. Salaries ranged from 5 million VND to 15 million VND or more.

Notably, in addition to job fairs and direct interviews between businesses and workers, the organizers also implemented career counseling activities for high school students, providing advice and information on the labor market, overseas employment, vocational training, job-seeking skills, skills for participating in the labor market, and sharing information related to policies and laws for workers.

According to Nguyen Minh Hai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Thang commune, Tien Thang commune was established by merging the entire natural area and population of three communes: Tu Lap, Tien Thang, and Tam Dong (Me Linh commune). Currently, the issue of providing employment for workers still faces difficulties. Workers find it hard to find jobs that match their needs, employers need workers but still lack information and highly skilled labor, and vocational training institutions also face many difficulties in recruiting students, directly impacting the work of solving labor and employment problems.

Therefore, organizing job fairs at the commune level is extremely important, as it is one of the effective solutions to ensure social security in the area. It serves as a central point for providing workers and employers with information on labor supply and demand, enabling them to choose and find jobs that suit their conditions and qualifications. Job fairs also create opportunities for businesses with labor recruitment needs, job placement centers, and vocational training schools to organize counseling, career guidance, recruitment, and enrollment activities.

Ms. Le Kim Anh, Director of the Northern Transportation and Warehousing Center (Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Transportation and Warehousing Company), shared: “This is the first time we have participated in a job fair, aiming to find 30 postal service workers to work in the area (income from 9-15 million VND/month) and 10 postal vehicle drivers (income from approximately 10-15 million VND/month). Quite a few people showed interest at the Center's booth seeking advice and support in finding jobs. This shows that the job fair is truly a useful bridge between businesses and workers.”

According to Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the activities at the Tien Thang Commune Job Fair in 2025 were vibrant, attracting a large number of people from all walks of life. Through surveys to understand the recruitment needs of workers in the commune, the main demand was in the industrial production, trade, and service sectors. Notably, the job fair was not limited to just one day; afterwards, all recruitment needs of businesses continued to be communicated. Workers could proactively communicate with businesses to find their desired job positions.
