Many activities attract tourists during the Cultural Week.

From November 15th to 23rd, 2024, the Hoa Binh Province Culture and Tourism Week 2024 will take place in Hoa Binh City. This is an opportunity for Hoa Binh province to introduce and promote its unique local culture to domestic and international tourists.

On November 5th, a press conference was held at the Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee (Hoa Binh City) to introduce the activities of the Hoa Binh Province Culture and Tourism Week 2024.

At a press conference introducing the organization and activities of the Hoa Binh Provincial Culture and Tourism Week 2024, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial People's Committee, stated: "During the Hoa Binh Provincial Culture and Tourism Week, visitors will have the opportunity to experience diverse cultural activities such as exhibitions, traditional and modern art performances, seminars on sustainable tourism development, as well as participate in tours exploring famous scenic spots in Hoa Binh."

According to Mr. Toan, within the framework of the Cultural Week, many outstanding activities will take place, including: the fishing prayer ceremony and floating lanterns on the Da River on the evening of November 15th; an art photography exhibition from November 16th to 18th; and the ceremony to receive the Certificate of Ranking as a Special National Monument for Xom Trai Cave and Lang Vanh Rock Shelter on the evening of November 16th.

In addition, one of the highlights of the event is the second Da River Fish and Shrimp Festival on November 19th, honoring local products while creating a unique brand for "Hoa Binh Da River Shrimp" and "Hoa Binh Da River Fish".

Speaking at a press conference about the Da River Fish and Shrimp Festival, Mr. Vuong Dac Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoa Binh province, said: "The Hoa Binh Culture and Tourism Week aims to promote the development of the aquaculture industry and products from the Da River fish and shrimp, and to strengthen the promotion and affirmation of copyrighted brands associated with agricultural products and the ownership rights of the two specialty brands "Hoa Binh Da River Shrimp" and "Hoa Binh Da River Fish". From there, we aim to build the image of the Da River fish and shrimp capital as one of the key economic sectors of Hoa Binh province."

At the same time, the festival will showcase impressive images, potential, strengths, landscapes, and traditional cultural identity of the province in general, and the Da River region tourism area in particular, contributing to stimulating tourism development and attracting and expanding the domestic and international tourist market to Hoa Binh."

The program also includes a traditional rice wine festival with special activities to introduce the rice wine products of the four Muong regions: Bi, Vang, Thang, and Dong - along with folk songs, folk dances, and traditional musical instruments of the Muong people.

In addition, the event also included a fishing competition on Hoa Binh Lake with the participation of 70 anglers, including international competitors, along with tours exploring famous scenic spots in Hoa Binh such as the Da River lake, caves, and ethnic minority villages.

The Hoa Binh Culture and Tourism Week is organized to showcase the potential, strengths, and image of the region, its beautiful natural landscapes, unique cultural identity of its ethnic groups, and the culture of Hoa Binh. It also aims to promote and introduce products from the Da River (fish and shrimp), agricultural products, and characteristic OCOP (One Commune One Product) products of the province to attract domestic and international tourism. The Hoa Binh Culture and Tourism Week 2024 is expected to take place over nine days, from November 15th to November 23rd, 2024.
