(VLO) On February 13th, at the job fair combined with a "job cafe" after the Lunar New Year, many workers were seen looking for jobs.

Mr. Dang Be Sau (born in 1983, residing in Ngai Tu commune, Tam Binh district) attended the "job fair" hoping to find a job as a forklift driver. He said: "I want to apply to a company inside or outside the industrial park to drive a forklift."

Previously, Mr. Sau recounted having "worked in many jobs," from warehouse keeper for materials and equipment to employee, then quitting due to family matters... And now he wants to find a job driving a forklift, like the one he worked in for 5 years, to earn an income and stabilize his life.

Sitting next to Mr. Sau, Mr. Do Phat Tai (born in 1989, residing in Long An commune, Long Ho district) filled out a registration form for job counseling in the driving profession, as he currently holds a Class C driver's license. Mr. Tai shared that he had previously driven for a company for a while, but then quit due to family matters, and now wants to find a similar job again.

Ms. Truc Linh (Tan Ngai ward, Vinh Long city) also made her way to the Hoa Phu branch of the Employment Service Center to attend this job fair.

"I want to find a job in the garment industry," said a 45-year-old female worker who recently quit her job earlier this month, expressing her wish to support her family. Ms. Bich Hue (32 years old, residing in Ngai Tu commune) traveled from her hometown to seek employment.

According to the job application form, Ms. Hue has 10 years of experience as a skilled stamping machine operator at two companies. She said, "I quit my job a while ago, and now I want to find a job with the same skills I had before."

Along with the large number of workers coming to file new unemployment insurance claims and sign confirmations of their unemployment status to continue receiving unemployment benefits, many workers from various localities attended the event with a high demand for job searching.

According to center staff, approximately 200 invitations to the "job fair" were distributed to workers during the first half of this morning, covering the aforementioned topics.

According to a human resources employee at a garment company located in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, the company has regular orders and a constant need to recruit workers.

In the two job fairs held before Tet and currently, the unit has recruited around 100 workers, and this effort will continue to be intensified.

According to Deputy Director of the Employment Service Center Le Thi Hue Nhi, job fairs combined with "job cafes" are held regularly twice a month (mid-month and end-of-month) to enhance vocational training counseling for workers, introduce domestic jobs, facilitate overseas employment under fixed-term contracts, and address unemployment insurance policies.

The initiative also aims to improve the efficiency of connecting labor supply and demand, support businesses in recruiting workers from available local sources, and help workers find jobs that meet their needs.

In response to job search inquiries, center staff will contact job seekers within 1-2 days to introduce them to companies or businesses that offer jobs in the field they are looking for.

Further discussions and interviews will take place, and the outcome of the job transaction will depend on the conditions and requirements of both the employer and the employee.

According to forecasts, several companies and businesses located in the province's industrial zones need to recruit more than 5,000 workers (mainly unskilled laborers) for jobs in electronic component assembly, garment manufacturing, and other related fields.
