Improving the quality of social security.
The highlight of the 2026 Humanitarian Month in Lam Dong was the free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication distribution for the poor, ethnic minorities, the elderly, and children in remote areas. Three mobile medical examination sessions were organized, bringing practical healthcare services to hundreds of people in difficult circumstances.
The voluntary blood donation movement continues to be a highlight of humanitarian work, with 9 campaigns collecting 1,193 units of blood for emergency and treatment purposes. In addition, charitable kitchens at medical facilities have provided 16,130 free meals, supporting poor patients and those in difficult circumstances…

The spirit of mutual support and compassion was strongly spread through 12,773 charitable gifts totaling nearly 7.1 billion VND distributed to disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals. Behind these figures are many cases that received timely assistance, such as Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh (Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat), who suffered a mild stroke but still sells lottery tickets daily to support her three young children and seriously ill husband, receiving 5 million VND to improve her livelihood. Or Ms. Tran Thi Bach Cuc (Lam Vien Ward - Da Lat), who has been bedridden for 17 years due to a stroke and has no one to rely on, received emergency assistance from the Red Cross and was included in the "humanitarian address" program for long-term support. These practical acts of kindness not only help alleviate the burdens of life for those in need but also instill faith and strength in them to rise above their circumstances.

Providing a fishing rod for sustainable livelihoods.
Alongside emergency relief efforts, social assistance during the 2026 Humanitarian Month saw a significant shift from temporary support to sustainable assistance. The province successfully organized five humanitarian markets, providing essential, diverse, and quality-assured necessities directly to the people. Simultaneously, the association mobilized resources to build 20 houses for poor and near-poor households and completed 10 meaningful humanitarian projects.

The most groundbreaking and sustainable achievement is the provision of livelihood support to 149 poor households, totaling over 831 million VND. Beyond simply providing financial assistance, the local associations conducted thorough surveys of each household's actual needs to donate specific production tools such as sewing machines, overlock machines, juicers, sugarcane juicers, sprayers, and livestock. This has helped disadvantaged families become self-reliant and sustainably escape poverty.
By the end of Humanitarian Month 2026, the entire province had mobilized a total of humanitarian resources worth...
The value exceeded 10 billion VND. Thanks to this, it has directly supported and brought practical benefits to over 13,849 people in difficult circumstances.Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society
Ms. Hung Thi Thanh Tam (from Hamlet 19, Duc Trong Commune) is a poor household. Her husband passed away due to illness, and she, battling cancer, continues to work as a laborer to support her two young children. The commune's Red Cross Society has provided essential supplies, cash, and scholarships for her two children, ensuring they can attend school every day. Ms. Tam was very happy and grateful to the Duc Trong Commune Red Cross Society for their concern, which enabled her to receive medical treatment and provide for her children's education.

The achievements made despite numerous difficulties have affirmed the role and position of the Provincial Red Cross Society. The Society continues to be a reliable humanitarian address, effectively connecting social resources to care for vulnerable people, contributing to the successful implementation of social welfare policies in the area.
