Hundreds of motorbikes loaded with peach blossom branches lined up one after another. The sellers were mostly local ethnic minorities, while the buyers were tourists and traders from various provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Bac Ninh. Prices for peach blossom branches ranged from a few hundred thousand to several million dong per branch; beautiful branches with old, moss-covered trunks and many buds could fetch 5-7 million dong. For the locals, the peach blossom market was not only a place for trading goods but also a vital source of livelihood at the end of each year. Women and the elderly worked to bundle peach blossom branches for hire, while young people took on transportation and delivery jobs, creating a bustling and busy atmosphere before Tet (Lunar New Year).

Sapa's wild peach trees, also known as rock peach trees or mossy peach trees, grow on slopes at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters, surrounded by fog and mist year-round. The harsh climate conditions create gnarled, moss-covered branches and an ancient, unique beauty that makes them particularly popular among peach tree enthusiasts from the lowlands. Ta Phin commune is considered the "capital" of Sapa's rock peach trees, where many trees are decades, even centuries old. Thanks to the development of ornamental peach trees, many families have a stable source of income, improving their lives from the natural advantages of the locality.

The family of Mr. Chảo Láo Sì, a Dao ethnic minority in Tả Phìn, currently cultivates many varieties of peach trees such as pink peach, red peach, seven-inch peach, and even some rare single-branch plum trees. Each tree is valued from several million to tens of millions of dong. He said: "A beautiful ornamental peach tree can bring in as much income as an entire peach harvest."

In the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), peach growers patiently care for their trees, adjusting the timing of leaf removal and ensuring the flowers bloom at the right time, despite the unpredictable weather conditions.
