| Mr. Tran Van Ngu (on the right), village head and respected figure in Hamlet 3 (Cho Moi commune), shares his experience in fruit tree cultivation with the villagers. |
For the past three years, the pomelo orchard has been a stable source of income for the family of Mr. Luong Van Tiep, in Hamlet 3, Cho Moi Commune. This is the result of a local-supported project, in which Mr. Tran Van Ngu, the village head and a respected figure, played a key role in promoting and encouraging the project.
Over the years, whenever the commune implemented promising economic models and projects, Mr. Ngu proactively took the initiative to participate and persuade villagers to adopt them. This has contributed to a significant improvement in the economy of the people in Hamlet 3, evidenced by the fact that there are now only 2 poor households out of a total of 140 households.
Mr. Luong Van Tiep shared: "Mr. Ngu is always loved and respected by the villagers. Whatever he says or whatever he encourages, we people trust and follow him. Some of the high-economic-value crops and livestock that are being raised and cultivated in the village are thanks to Mr. Ngu's efforts in promoting them to the villagers."
For nearly 20 years as a respected community leader in Hamlet 3, Mr. Ngu has always dedicated his time and effort to the community. Mr. Ngu believes that since the villagers elected him, he must always live up to the trust placed in him.
Not only does Mr. Ngu serve as a bridge to bring the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws to the grassroots, but he is also a "key figure" in uniting the community and harnessing its internal strengths to build a prosperous life.
Tam Thai hamlet (Dong Hy commune) is home to a large number of ethnic minority people living together. In recent years, the lives of the people have improved significantly, the spirit of solidarity has been enhanced, and concrete roads have been built right to the gates of every family... This achievement is thanks in no small part to the contributions of Mr. Le Van Tien, a respected and exemplary figure.
Having served as Party branch secretary for over a decade, Mr. Le Van Tien has always been a role model, leading the way in mobilizing the people to actively contribute and participate in community activities. Through Mr. Tien's flexible and effective efforts, the people of Tam Thai are united, competing to develop the economy and preserve their national cultural identity.
According to Mr. Le Van Tien, reputable individuals, in addition to their role in propaganda and mobilization, must be pioneers in all activities, dedicated and responsible to the common good, and must constantly understand the thoughts and aspirations of the people in order to promptly resolve issues at the grassroots level.
Currently, the province has over 2,100 influential individuals who are directly involved in many aspects of social life. Not only do they "explain things to the people," but influential figures like Mr. Ngu and Mr. Tien also lead by example to gain people's trust. From restructuring crop and livestock production, applying scientific and technological advancements to production, to building family economic models, they have contributed to increasing income and improving the lives of the people.
In most localities, influential individuals are the "nucleus" behind mobilizing people to donate land for road construction and contribute to building new rural areas. In addition, these influential individuals play a crucial role in maintaining national unity, preserving and promoting traditional cultural identity, and preventing violations of the law.
