Eight banks are among the top performers.
On the afternoon of December 31st, the Ho Chi Minh City State Treasury held a press conference to report on the results of state budget revenue and expenditure in Ho Chi Minh City for 2024.
At the conference, 89 organizations received commendations from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for their outstanding achievements in directing and managing the collection and payment of state budget revenue in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
Of these, 33 businesses paid over 1,000 billion VND in taxes, and 26 businesses contributed between 500 and under 1,000 billion VND to the state budget.
Among the 33 businesses that contributed over 1,000 billion VND to the state budget, there are 8 domestic and international banks, including: HDBank,ACB , Sacombank, VIB, OCB, NamABank, HSBC Vietnam and Shinhan Vietnam.

In addition, SSI Securities Company and Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance Company are also included in this list.
HDBank paid over 5,600 billion VND in taxes in 2024, an increase of 104%.
A representative from HDBank stated that this is the sixth consecutive year that HDBank has been honored by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as an outstanding enterprise in complying with tax laws and fulfilling its tax obligations to the state budget.
"These results not only demonstrate HDBank's sustainable development but also show its sound business strategy, flexible adaptability to economic fluctuations, and strong commitment to contributing to the state budget," an HDBank representative shared.
In 2024, HDBank contributed over VND 5,600 billion to the state budget, a 104% increase compared to 2023. Accordingly, HDBank continued to excel in its role in contributing to socio-economic development in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and nationwide in general, increasing its contribution to the state budget during a year of significant economic challenges.
Thanks to its positive business performance, in the six years from 2019-2024, HDBank contributed 14,324 billion VND to the state budget.
