Not only are they highly skilled professionals and actively innovating teaching methods, but Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu and Ms. La Thi Thu Huong, teachers at Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School (An Xuyen Ward), are also exemplary role models of dedication to their profession and commitment to their students. Recently, both were honored with the title of Excellent Teacher at the provincial level in 2025.

  • 227 teachers participated in the Ca Mau Provincial Primary School Excellent Teacher Competition.
  • 214 teachers were awarded the title of excellent primary school teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

From a young age, Lê Thị Anh Thư (41 years old, residing in Tân Thành ward) dreamed of becoming a teacher. Growing up in a family that valued knowledge, the inspiring lessons of her elementary school years planted the seed of a teaching career in her heart – a beautiful and enduring dream. In 2006, after completing her teacher training program, she officially entered the profession, carrying with her aspiration to serve. Having been associated with Phan Ngọc Hiển Elementary School for nearly 10 years, she has not only grown professionally but also become a close companion to her students and parents.

Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu focuses on innovating teaching methods, placing students at the center of the learning process.

For Ms. La Thi Thu Huong (42 years old, from Song Doc commune), teaching is like a lifeblood flowing through her veins. Born into a family with over 50 members who are teachers, from her parents to her aunts, uncles, and cousins, Ms. Huong grew up surrounded by late-night study sessions, lesson plans, and a love for her students. From secondary school, she helped her mother tutor children in the neighborhood, nurturing the simple joy of helping others learn to read and write. Without much hesitation, she chose teaching as her chosen path.

The digital age offers many opportunities but also demands that teachers constantly learn and innovate. According to Ms. Anh Thu, applying smart technology is key to making lessons more lively and effective. She frequently uses AI-integrated software in teaching Vietnamese and Math. As a result, students are more proactive in learning, developing critical thinking skills and teamwork abilities. For fifth-grade students, a crucial age for transitioning to the next level, she always focuses on building a solid foundation in both knowledge and life skills.

Ms. Huong, on the other hand, excels at organizing practical experiential activities. She believes that " education today is not just about imparting knowledge, but also about teaching students how to learn, how to live, and how to think independently." The extracurricular activities and field trips she organizes are always eagerly anticipated by students, as they provide real-world experiences, helping them become more confident in communication and self-expression. With five consecutive years of receiving the title of excellent teacher at the city and provincial levels, Ms. Huong is a leading figure in the school's emulation movement.

Ms. La Thi Thu Huong guides students during a reading session at the library.

Mr. Tran Hai Vu, Deputy Principal of Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School, shared: “Both Ms. Anh Thu and Ms. Thu Huong are dedicated teachers who are always proactive in innovating in their professional work. Their lessons are engaging and lively, and students learn well. They are also the core of the school's professional activities, readily supporting colleagues in lesson planning and competition.”

Besides teaching, the two teachers also serve as "inspiration" for younger teachers. They frequently assist in designing demonstration lessons, guide colleagues in preparing lesson plans using new methods, and contribute to building a positive and humane educational environment in the school.

Teaching is a persistent journey of love and patience. For Ms. Anh Thu and Ms. Thu Huong, the greatest reward is not titles or certificates, but the daily growth of their students, from knowledge to character. Many parents are moved when speaking about the two teachers: "They not only help our children learn better, but also teach them politeness, sharing, and responsibility." These are enduring values, the profound mark that teachers leave on their journey of "sowing knowledge."

Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu and Ms. La Thi Thu Huong received certificates of merit for achieving the title of Excellent Primary School Teacher in Ca Mau province in 2025.

At Phan Ngoc Hien Primary School today, those two teachers still quietly and diligently work with each page of the textbook and each lesson. They are not only silent "guides" but also inspirers, leading generations of students on their journey to conquer knowledge and grow.
