The iPhone 17 and iPhone Air have just gone on sale in several countries around the world . Based on time zones, Australia and New Zealand were among the first to receive the devices on September 19th. Images of the devices being received and initial reviews have been shared online by users.

On social media platform X , tech reviewer Mohit Kalra shared that he was the first person to arrive at the Apple store in Sydney, Australia, to pick up his device. Besides the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, other products available for sale that day included the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and AirPods Pro 3.

Some users also shared photos of the device in their hands. While New Zealand doesn't have an official Apple Store, users who pre-ordered the iPhone 17 in Australia can pick up their devices and set them up right at the store.

"Very thin and light, this is probably my favorite product," user iShadowAnt on Reddit shared his feelings after holding the iPhone Air in his hand.

In some countries, the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max sold out during online pre-orders, causing delivery delays until October. However, users can still purchase the products from third-party retailers.

CEO Tim Cook shared an impressive photo at the Apple Store in Mumbai, India, with the caption, "So excited for tomorrow." The photo shows the storefront adorned with large letters "Pro" and "Air," representing the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air.

At the Apple Store on Orchard Road in Singapore, long lines of people waited to pick up their devices. According to The Strait Times , approximately 250 people were queuing by 6:45 AM (local time), divided into lines for those who pre-ordered and those who purchased in person.

Some customers who had pre-ordered arrived at the store at 6 PM the previous day to pick up their bracelets. Store staff encouraged those with bracelets to line up at 4 AM. Even so, some people were not guaranteed to receive their devices that day.

Over the next 24 hours, the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air will continue to go on sale in select countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, in that order.

The iPhone Air was launched by Apple on September 9th. It's the company's thinnest smartphone to date, measuring just 5.6 mm thick. The device features a 6.5-inch 120Hz display, an A19 Pro processor, a 48MP rear camera, a C1X modem, and Apple's own N1 chip.

The ultra-slim design also means the iPhone Air is the first Apple smartphone without a physical SIM slot across all versions, offering only eSIM options in all markets. The company also equipped it with a smaller battery than other models, although still emphasizing "all-day" battery life.

The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max stand out with their redesigned back panel, the addition of a Cosmic Orange color option, a triple 48MP camera system, and a vapor chamber cooling system. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 now boasts a 120Hz display, an A19 processor, and increased standard storage to 256GB.
