Maintaining peace at the grassroots level.
Working at the grassroots level, where life's changes are most evident, Lieutenant Ngo Viet Duc, a police officer in Quang Trach commune, understands that each day of duty is linked to the responsibility of maintaining peace and security for the people. The biggest pressure, according to him, comes from the complex developments in law violations, especially among teenagers, which cause anxiety for parents.
Based on his practical experience, Ngo Viet Duc chose an approach that emphasizes close contact with the people, staying close to the local area, listening, and understanding. The initiatives and solutions he proposed all stemmed from putting himself in the shoes of the people, seeking ways to prevent and stop violations at their root, limiting the long-term consequences. For him, wearing the police uniform means being ready to set aside personal gain, placing the common good and the peace of the people above all else.

His practical work has given Ngo Viet Duc many experiences not found in textbooks. These include working late into the night to assess the local situation; persistently meeting with and persuading delinquent teenagers to change their perceptions; and frank discussions with parents to find solutions for managing and educating their children. It is through these quiet, unassuming tasks that he gradually accumulated practical experience, gaining a deeper understanding of the root causes of law violations. This understanding allows him to advise on effective preventative measures, contributing to maintaining security and order at the grassroots level.
Captain Tran Thanh Vu, Head of the Quang Trach Commune Police, said: "Viet Duc is a young, well-trained officer with a high sense of responsibility and a willingness to overcome difficulties. In a border area with many potential social order issues, Duc has proactively advised on various management and education plans for young people at risk of violating the law, contributing to stabilizing the situation and strengthening the people's trust in the police force."
Instilling ideals in students.
In the educational environment, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Secretary of the Youth Union of Le Quy Don Specialized High School, chooses a dynamic, systematic, and in-depth approach to education, gradually sowing the seeds of life ideals for students through concrete actions in school life.
For Ms. Tam, the Youth Union's work in the school cannot stop at mere movements, but must truly touch the thoughts, feelings, and growth of students. In the last three years, the "Three Good Students" movement, which she directly oversees, has been implemented with a focus on quality over quantity. Each year, the school honors more than 50 outstanding students at the school level, creating motivation for them to strive comprehensively in their studies, training, and participation in social activities.

Le Quy Don Specialized High School made its mark by having 10 students recognized as "Three Good Students" at the national level over three years, a remarkable number compared to the general average across the province. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam's concern is not just about the title, but about how to ensure each youth movement truly leaves a lasting impression on the students. "If youth union activities only remain superficial, it will be very difficult to maintain the long-term commitment of the students," she shared.
Therefore, in addition to emulation movements, the Secretary of the Youth Union of Le Quy Don Specialized High School and the Executive Committee of the Youth Union focus on building activities associated with community responsibility and character education. Prominent among these is the "Spring of Love" volunteer campaign - a movement that has become a unique feature of the school's Youth Union for many years.
Through visiting and sharing with those in difficult circumstances, students not only experience the spirit of volunteerism but also learn to live compassionately, to give, and to appreciate the value of sharing. For Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, the moments when students voluntarily participate, proactively propose ideas, and are committed to community activities are the clearest measure of the effectiveness of the Youth Union's work. According to Ms. Ha Le Chi, Party Secretary and Deputy Principal in charge of Le Quy Don Specialized High School, Nguyen Thi Tam is a serious and responsible Youth Union officer. The activities under Ms. Tam's leadership always aim for holistic education, contributing to building a positive and healthy school environment where students are encouraged to develop both knowledge and character.
Linking conservation with responsibility.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Chien, an officer at the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board, has chosen a path dedicated to nature conservation and the promotion of heritage values. During his work, he has proactively researched and proposed many professional initiatives related to forest resource management and sustainable ecotourism development.

In his unique work environment, Nguyen Trung Chien is always acutely aware of the fine line between conservation and exploitation. Every professional proposal requires careful consideration, responsibility, and a long-term vision. Chien believes that if young people working in conservation lack composure and professional integrity, they can easily be swayed by short-term gains.
Besides his professional duties, as the Secretary of the Youth Union branch, he incorporated the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style into Youth Union activities, linking it with forest protection, environmental preservation, and raising awareness among young people in the buffer zone. He considered this a way for young people to understand that preserving heritage is not the responsibility of any one individual, but a shared responsibility of the entire community.
“These exemplary young people, though each working in a different field, share a common spirit of serious work, prioritizing community interests and choosing specific actions to contribute. These are the positive individuals who help spread the spirit of responsible living and dedication among youth union members and young people throughout the province,” affirmed Tran Thi Thu, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union.
Commenting on these contributions, Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board, said that Nguyen Trung Chien is a young officer with innovative thinking, serious work ethic, and many initiatives that have been researched and applied in practice, contributing to improving the effectiveness of management and conservation and creating more value for the unit's ecotourism activities.
