Outstanding products at Computex 2023

If CES is where the tech industry showcases its vision for the future, then Computex is the event that brings that vision to life. Therefore, Computex in Taiwan is always considered the largest and most important computer technology exhibition of the year. This Taiwanese trade show is where major and minor computer suppliers introduce their newest and best equipment before the crucial shopping season.

Here are some notable products from the Computex 2023 exhibition recently held in Taiwan.

MSI Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport

The laptop, a collaboration between MSI and AMG Motorsport, was launched at an impressive event.

The MSI Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport was officially unveiled at Computex 2023, featuring a design inspired by the Mercedes-AMG GT2 race car. The laptop boasts a Selenite Grey finish, a signature color of Mercedes vehicles, and a premium aluminum-magnesium alloy casing that enhances its luxurious appearance while minimizing overall weight for a 16-inch laptop.

The back of the laptop features the prominent word "Stealth." The distinctive design elements of Mercedes sports cars are incorporated into the accents on the back panel and keyboard. The MSI and Mercedes-AMG logos are placed on the laptop lid as well as the bottom edge of the display area. The speaker grilles feature perforated AMG lettering, and below them is a 6-speaker Dynaudio system for high-quality sound.

The MSI Stealth 16 Mercedes-AMG Motorsport features a 16-inch UHD+ (3840 x 2400) OLED display, a powerful 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor, and an NVIDIA RTX 40 GPU. This configuration allows the machine to easily handle demanding tasks and play high-graphics games anytime, anywhere.

Terra PC case from Fractal Design

The Terra computer case impresses with its Scandinavian interior design style.

Terra is the latest mini-ITX case from Fractal Design, embodying the Scandinavian design philosophy of minimalism, functionality, modern aesthetics, and a connection to nature. The case features a textured, anodized finish, a hinged door, and a top panel that slides back and forth with the help of a small leather flap.

Measuring 343 x 153 x 218 mm, the Terra case is truly compact, boasting a minimalist aesthetic with soft, rounded corners.

BeeDrive hard drives from Synology

Synology's BeeDrive helps you back up and transfer images to storage devices.

At first glance, BeeDrive looks like a common USB flash drive, but Synology's solution makes it special by enabling fast backups. Operating when plugged into a Windows computer (the company says a macOS version will be available soon), users can easily back up files from their smartphone to BeeDrive simply by scanning a QR code.

With the included app, users can also easily use the BeeDrop feature to quickly transfer photos from their phone to their computer wirelessly.

Acer Swift Edge 16

The Acer Swift Edge 16 stands out with its ultra-thin and lightweight magnesium alloy chassis, measuring just 12.95 mm thick and weighing 1.23 kg, finished in a glossy black paint. It features a 16-inch 3.2K (3200 x 2000) OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, supporting 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and a 0.2 ms response time. The TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified screen also reduces blue light exposure for increased comfort during extended viewing sessions.

The Acer Swift Edge 16 stands out with its large, high-resolution screen and lightweight design.

The Swift Edge 16 uses an AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processor for high performance and fuel efficiency, an AMD Radeon 780M GPU, and the dedicated AMD Ryzen AI engine to unlock AI experiences such as real-time video quality enhancement for video calls.

Acer SpatialLabs Panoramic View

SpatialLabs Panoramic View uses three 15-inch 3D displays from Acer.

Acer has been producing glasses-free 3D laptop displays for several years now, but apparently those displays weren't wide enough. At Computex 2023, Acer showcased SpatialLabs Panoramic View, which combines three 15-inch 3D screens to create a giant 3D image. This was a fascinating experience for visitors standing in the right position as the screen projected the image, giving a very realistic 3D feel.

MSI addressed the GPU cable burning issue last year with a yellow connector cable on the new MAG A850GL power supply. They changed the 12VHPWR connector to a bright yellow color.

The yellow markings will act as a visual indicator to let PC assemblers know if the cable is loose or may not be fully plugged in. The simple yellow cable of the MSI MAG A850GL can help people avoid long-term problems.

Cooler Master's Shark X and Sneaker X

Cooler Master showcased two PC cases with impressive designs.

In the PC case customization field, Cooler Master showcased the Sneaker X, a case designed in the shape of a trendy sneaker. The Sneaker X design was first displayed at the "Case Mod World Series 2020," offering sneaker enthusiasts a new addition to their collection.

Meanwhile, the Shark X is a PC with a Mini-ITX motherboard shaped like a shark, compatible with most popular GPUs on the market. The RGB lighting effects on this shark-shaped PC are created by the cooling fans and the Cooler Master 120 AIO Cooler water cooling system.
