(NLĐO) - The photo exhibition is a journey recreating the development of Ho Chi Minh City's banking industry - one of the solid pillars of the economy.

On April 5th, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "The Banking Industry and the Development of Ho Chi Minh City" officially took place at Lam Son Park, District 1.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung, along with representatives from various departments, the State Bank of Vietnam's Regional Branch II, and commercial banks in the area, also attended.

This is one of the events in the movement of the Ho Chi Minh City banking sector to achieve outstanding results in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Mr. Vo Minh Tuan, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam's Regional Branch II, said that with the theme "Proud of Tradition - Pioneering Innovation," the photo exhibition is not just an event showcasing images and documents. The event is also a journey recreating the development path of the banking industry in Ho Chi Minh City – one of the solid pillars of the economy of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.

"Every official, civil servant, and employee of the banking sector, along with the city's residents and tourists, can witness in a vivid, comprehensive, and visual way the formation, development, and companionship of the banking sector with each heartbeat, each step forward, and each stage of transformation of Ho Chi Minh City."

"Through this, we will gain a better understanding of the ups and downs, achievements, and valuable contributions of the banking sector to the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City," said Mr. Vo Minh Tuan.

The exhibition, running from April 5th to April 10th, showcases documents and images about the connection between banks and businesses, as well as modern banking services that have been innovated to be more accessible to the public.

This contributes to improving the business environment and promoting the city's economic growth, while increasing convenience for users of modern banking products and services.

Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about the products and services of the banks at the photo exhibition.
