In 2013, the wet rice project with an area of ​​5 hectares in Ka Ai village invested by the Border Guard of Quang Binh was born. After 10 years of hardship and hardship, many times it seemed like the Quang Binh Border Guard and people had to give up because the climate was too harsh, the terrain was mountainous, and water was scarce. More specifically, ethnic minorities have limited knowledge about wet rice, because they are only used to growing rice on high hills and mountains in a "lucky or unfortunate" way, rather than taking the effort to care for it.

The people voluntarily went to the fields and basically understood the wet rice production process. In particular, they know how to value every grain of rice from their own sweat and effort. Now, almost 138 roofs in Ka Ai village know how to do business, initially creating a source of income on their own village land, escaping poverty and stabilizing their lives.

Although there are still difficulties, the Quang Binh Border Guard force has "reaped" bountiful harvests and the people in Ka Ai village have realized that only by establishing themselves can life be stable, not can forever rely on the State's support policy.
