In her previous capacity as Chairperson of the Women's Association of the Border Guard Command of Binh Thuan province and now as Chairperson of the Women's Association of the Border Guard Command of Lam Dong province, Major Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huong, along with the members, has implemented many emulation movements linked to the unit's political tasks.
The Women's Association, led by her, has participated in and spread many meaningful movements and programs such as: "For the Poor - Leaving No One Behind," "Accompanying Women in Border Areas," and "A Million Gifts Sharing Love." Hundreds of gifts have been sent to people in border regions, poor children, and students overcoming difficulties.

In 2024 alone, the Women's Association of the Border Guard Command of Binh Thuan province, in coordination with other units, implemented the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program, providing livelihood models worth 30 million VND, supporting the construction of charitable houses worth 50 million VND, and giving 100 gift packages to poor households in Tan Thang commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan province. She herself also directly participated in organizing programs such as: "Homeland Tet," "March in the Border Area," "Mid-Autumn Festival Night," "Mid-Autumn Festival in the Border Area,"... with a total support value of over 900 million VND.
Major Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huong's dedication extends beyond her assigned area of work. In 2024, when Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ) caused severe damage in the North, she mobilized support, securing 10 tons of goods, 200 million VND in cash, and calling for donations of 1,000 water purifiers for people in the typhoon-affected and flood-stricken areas.
Her family lives in Phan Thiet, but after the merger of the three provinces, the new headquarters of the Lam Dong Provincial Border Guard Command is located in the former Dak Nong province – meaning it takes Huong seven hours by bus from her home to the unit. Due to the geographical distance and work requirements, she chose to stay at the unit, only returning home on weekends to take care of her family.
Ms. Huong always believed: "Do whatever you can for your fellow countrymen, without calculating gains or losses. Each individual can contribute to strengthening the collective. Contribution is not about fanfare, not about seeking recognition—it's simply about striving to keep the green uniform beautiful in the hearts of the people." Therefore, after settling into her new job, she continued to travel to border regions she had never set foot in before. The more she traveled, the more she felt a pang of concern: What more can she do? How can she help alleviate the suffering of the people and give children the opportunity to study? These questions became the motivation for her to continue her long journeys, extending love to remote villages.
Despite receiving numerous awards, the most meaningful reward for her is always the smile of the people in the border region, the trust and affection that the people have for the Border Guard. Speaking about her accomplishments, Major Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huong humbly stated: "I try my best to do whatever I can for the people in the border region who still face many difficulties. Each person contributes a small part, and the collective will become stronger."
