Leaders of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and political and social organizations of Dinh Lap commune livestreamed the sale of Dien pomelos for local farmers.

On January 25, 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and political and social organizations of Dinh Lap commune organized a livestream to promote, introduce, and sell Dien pomelo products to farmer members in the area. This was the first livestream session organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and political and social organizations of the commune.

Ms. Nong Thi Yen Vinh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dinh Lap commune, said: "The livestream lasted for more than an hour. During the live broadcast, the Dien pomelos of the local people were introduced directly from the orchards with full information about the care process, quality, and selling price; viewers were also able to 'admire' the products online. This helped customers understand the product quality. Thanks to thorough preparation, the livestream attracted a large number of viewers, comments, and direct orders. More than 2 tons of Dien pomelos were ordered during the livestream, contributing to helping farmer members sell their agricultural products."

Notably, the livestream also featured the participation of the head of the commune government. The image of the commune's People's Committee leader selling goods alongside the local people created a positive effect, affirming the government's commitment to supporting farmers through concrete actions.

Mr. Nguyen Chien Hiep, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dinh Lap commune, said: "In reality, digital transformation is becoming a practical 'lever' helping local agricultural products overcome the spatial limitations of traditional markets and expand their consumption markets. Organizing livestream sales sessions is not only a solution to support the immediate consumption of agricultural products but also a concrete step in the locality's digital transformation roadmap. Through livestreaming, the Dien pomelo products of farmer members have had the opportunity to access a larger market. The commune government identifies this as an effective promotional channel, suitable for modern commercial trends. Therefore, in the coming time, the People's Committee of the commune will direct the relevant departments to continue organizing more livestream sessions to expand the consumption market for local agricultural products."

Along with Dinh Lap commune, Chi Lang commune also organized livestream sessions with the goal of promoting OCOP products, including Chi Lang custard apples, to consumers. These livestream sessions were conducted right in the Lung Than custard apple orchards, the Chi Lang custard apple market, and the Chi Lang Pass historical site, attracting many local people.

Ms. Dinh Thi Thao, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Chi Lang Commune, said: "To create a vibrant atmosphere and make the 'Digital Literacy Movement' a regular, continuous, and widespread movement in the commune, in August 2025, the department advised the Commune People's Committee to organize a livestream session to promote local agricultural products. The livestream attracted thousands of interactions. This not only shows the appeal of Chi Lang commune's agricultural products but also affirms the effectiveness of bringing digital transformation to villages and hamlets. After only one hour of livestreaming, more than 5.4 tons of custard apples were ordered by customers. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of applying digital technology in agricultural product consumption." In the coming time, the department will continue to advise the People's Committee of the commune to organize livestream sessions, encouraging people to promote and introduce agricultural products through e-commerce platforms and social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok. This will not only contribute to the effective implementation of the "Digital Literacy Movement" but also expand the market for local agricultural products, creating momentum to promote rural economic development in a modern and sustainable direction.

Ms. Lanh Thanh Huyen, from Than Muoi village, Chi Lang commune, shared: "My family has over 1,000 custard apple trees cared for according to VietGAP standards, yielding about 7 to 8 tons per harvest. Previously, our family's custard apple sales mainly depended on private traders and traditional markets. In the 2025 custard apple season, the Chi Lang Commune People's Committee organized a livestream to sell agricultural products, including Chi Lang custard apples. During the livestream, our family's custard apples were introduced and promoted to many online viewers. By 'opening up' our custard apple orchard for everyone to see, we sold over 3 tons of fruit during the live broadcast. This method not only provides our family with an effective sales channel and increased income, but also contributes to promoting and enhancing the value of local agricultural products."

Although currently only two localities in the province have pioneered the promotion of local agricultural products via livestream, given the effectiveness it has brought, it is believed that in the future, this will be a form of agricultural product promotion and consumption that other communes and wards in the province will learn from and implement. When local officials and leaders directly introduce agricultural products on live broadcasts, what is spread is not only trust and affirmation of product quality but also pride and the commitment of the government to support the people.
