From the little things
At Hai Ninh 2 Primary School, the initiative was launched at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year and continued throughout the 34th week. Each classroom became a "home" for piggy banks, where students collectively deposited their savings from breakfast money, bonuses, or small daily savings. Although the contributions were not large, they were accumulated through a spirit of sharing and love, creating a meaningful fund to help students in difficult circumstances.
The movement was not only effectively implemented at Hai Ninh 2 Primary School, but also at Binh An Secondary School. With the participation of 100% of the student teams throughout the school, the piggy banks have become a symbol of solidarity and mutual support among the team members.
Building on the success of the two exemplary units, the "Saving Piggy Bank" movement has been maintained and regularly implemented by school youth groups throughout Hai Ninh commune. Each school has its own approach suited to its specific conditions, but all aim for the common goal of educating students to save, share, and help friends in difficult circumstances. As a result, the movement has spread widely, becoming a beautiful aspect of youth group activities and children's movements in the locality.
At the end of the school year, all student unions organize summary meetings to commend groups and individuals who have performed well in the movement. At the same time, they acknowledge the efforts of students in maintaining the habit of saving and showing concern for those in difficult circumstances.

Supporting disadvantaged students
The practical effectiveness of the movement is clearly demonstrated through the gifts and scholarships given directly to students in difficult circumstances. From the savings fund of the movement, the Hai Ninh 2 Primary School's Youth Union awarded scholarships to 30 students in difficult circumstances with a total budget of 9 million VND. The scholarships were awarded in two installments, the first in May 2026 and the second at the opening of the new school year 2026-2027.
At Binh An Secondary School, from the "Piggy Bank" fund, the school's student union awarded 15 scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, totaling 4.5 million VND. While not large, these gifts are a practical source of encouragement, helping the students to have better learning conditions and continue their education. Behind each scholarship and gift is the collective effort of the entire group, a bond of friendship forged through empathy and sharing. This is also vivid evidence of the effectiveness of an educational model that connects theory with practice, helping students develop positive qualities from their time in school.
According to Ms. Le Thi Ut Huu, Secretary of the Hai Ninh Commune Youth Union, the greatest effectiveness of the movement is not only the fund to support disadvantaged students but also the spread of the spirit of saving and sharing in schools.
