According to the Manchester Evening News , Onana advised Mbeumo to choose to join Old Trafford, even though the player also received interest from Tottenham.

Onana and Mbeumo are teammates on the Cameroon national team. MU hopes that, given this close relationship, Mbeumo will choose to wear the "Red Devils" shirt next season.

Tottenham's new manager, Thomas Frank, is keen to reunite with his former pupil Mbeumo at his new club. The two worked very well together at Brentford last season. Spurs have submitted a £70 million offer to Brentford, significantly higher than the £60 million previously offered by Manchester United.

If they fail to sign Mbeumo, MU still have other options such as Semenyo from Bournemouth and Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.

As for Onana, he is likely to continue his association with MU next season. When asked about his future in a recent interview, the goalkeeper simply replied: "Will I leave? I don't know, let's wait and see!"

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is keen to strengthen his squad after a disappointing season. The Red Devils spent £62.6 million to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and they are determined to add Mbeumo to bolster their attack.

Conversely, MU are willing to listen to offers for players like Antony, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, or Tyrell Malacia.
