In the current version of One UI 7, users can choose the storage capacity for virtual RAM with options of 2 GB, 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB. Increasing virtual RAM allows users to open more applications, although it may also reduce free space on the device.
Not all One UI 8 devices can add 12 GB of virtual RAM.
Now, a report from @DalglishGX on social media indicates that One UI 8 will allow Galaxy phone users to allocate 12 GB of virtual RAM via the RAM Plus feature; however, this will only apply to Galaxy devices already equipped with 12 GB of physical RAM. For example, the Galaxy S25 Ultra in Vietnam can add up to 12 GB of storage as virtual RAM, thus having 12 GB of available RAM. This means the Galaxy S25 Ultra will receive a total of up to 24 GB of RAM when the RAM Plus feature is active.

It's worth noting that the above information has not yet been confirmed by Samsung, so users should exercise caution. However, users can still expect the possibility of adding a 12GB virtual RAM option via RAM Plus on One UI 8.
Besides the RAM Plus feature, One UI 8 is also expected to bring many improvements to the interface and user experience. Samsung may release a beta version of One UI 8 earlier than expected, in Q3 2025, with the official version launching in Q4 2025.
