On March 23, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai signed the Prime Minister's decisions to appoint the Boards of Directors of two banks: the Vietnam Development Bank and the Bank for Social Policies.
Specifically, in Decision No. 289/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister assigned and appointed Mr. Le Van Hoan, Chairman of Vietnam Computer Lottery Company (Vietlott) to hold the position of Chairman of the Bank's Board of Directors. Development of Vietnam for the term 2021 - 2026.
In addition, the Prime Minister also appointed Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank for Social Policies.
Previously, Mr. Le Van Hoan was appointed as the Chairman of Vietnam Lottery Company from August 8.
Mr. Hoan has a PhD in economics, has been working in the financial industry since 1995 and has held various management positions at research, training and management agencies under the Ministry of Finance such as the Institute of Financial Research, the University of Institute of Finance, Office of the Ministry of Finance.
In 2022, Vietlott achieved a revenue of more than VND 6.272 billion, an increase of 22% compared to 2021. This business contributed VND 1.720 billion to the local budget, an increase of more than VND 400 billion compared to 2021.
