Iran's state news agency (IRNA) reported: "The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran, after meeting with the Qatari delegation – one of the mediators – left the building where the negotiations were taking place. At the same time the talks began in Switzerland, Mr. Trump posted a message on X, in which he reiterated his comments and threats against Iran."
Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, warned the US to be careful with its statements and not to make threats against the Islamic Republic, while declaring that the country's armed forces are ready to respond.
Meanwhile, late that evening, a diplomat familiar with the negotiations said that the Iranian delegation was still engaged in talks with the U.S. in Switzerland and had not given any indication to the mediators of any intention to leave.
Earlier, Iranian state television reported that talks between Iran and the US in Switzerland, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, had stalled, and that Tehran's nuclear program was not being discussed.
