BDK - In the first six months of 2025, despite many difficulties, the province still achieved an impressive GRDP growth rate of 7.18%, ranking 4th in the Mekong Delta region and 36th nationwide. However, it has not yet reached the 8% growth target (according to Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW dated January 21, 2025 of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam). The challenge for the province is to focus on decisively implementing a comprehensive set of tasks and solutions to create a breakthrough in the second half of the year.

Specifically, focus on effectively reorganizing the political system's structure, restructuring administrative units at all levels, and implementing a two-tiered local government system in accordance with the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly's resolutions on the reorganization of provincial and commune-level administrative units; continue to streamline staffing according to the roadmap and finalize job positions in agencies and units after the organizational restructuring.

Focus on decisively implementing breakthrough tasks according to Resolution No. 01/2025/NQ-HĐND dated February 19, 2025, of the Provincial People's Council, striving to achieve economic growth of 8% or more. Focus on implementing the plan for the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.

Continue to focus on directing and advising on the organization of the summary of documents concretizing the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and the programs and plans for implementation. Maximize resources and definitively resolve difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the progress of 11 projects and programs according to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress and key provincial projects; especially the Phu Thuan Industrial Park project, the Ba Lai 8 Bridge project, the Ben Tre General Hospital project, and the commencement of the Ben Tre Green Hydrogen Production Plant project. Coordinate to accelerate the implementation of inter-regional projects with spillover effects such as the inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge, the commencement of construction of Dinh Khao Bridge, and the completion of investment preparation for the Provincial Coastal Road.

At the same time, continue to vigorously, synchronously, and effectively implement the construction of social housing according to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025, of the Prime Minister on assigning targets for completing social housing in 2025 and subsequent years up to 2030...

With strong determination, comprehensive solutions, and decisive action, the province can fully expect to achieve and surpass the socio-economic targets for 2025, creating momentum for a strong breakthrough in the next phase.
