Strive to achieve economic growth of 8%

BDK - In the first 6 months of 2025, despite many difficulties, the province still achieved an impressive GRDP growth rate of 7.18%, ranking 4th in the Mekong Delta region and 36th in the country. However, the growth target of 8% has not yet been achieved (according to Conclusion No. 123-KL/TW dated January 21, 2025 of the Party Central Committee). The problem for the province is to focus on synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to create breakthroughs in the second half of the year.

In particular, focusing on implementing well the organization of the political system, reorganizing administrative units at all levels and organizing the implementation of 2-level local government according to the Resolution of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units for the province; continuing to streamline the payroll according to the roadmap and completing the job positions of agencies and units after the organization of the apparatus is rearranged.

Focus on drastically implementing breakthrough tasks according to Resolution No. 01/2025/NQ-HDND dated February 19, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council, striving to achieve economic growth of 8% or more. Focus on implementing the plan to implement the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Continue to focus on directing and advising on the organization of summarizing documents to concretize the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and programs and plans for implementation. Focus maximum resources, thoroughly resolve difficulties and obstacles to speed up the implementation of 11 projects and programs according to the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress and key projects of the province; especially the Phu Thuan Industrial Park project, the Ba Lai 8 bridge project, the Ben Tre General Hospital project, and the launch of the Ben Tre Green Hydrogen Production Plant project. Coordinate to speed up the implementation of inter-regional projects with spillover effects such as the inauguration of Rach Mieu 2 bridge, the commencement of Dinh Khao bridge, and the completion of preparations for investment in the provincial coastal road.

At the same time, continue to resolutely, synchronously and effectively implement the work of building social housing according to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister on assigning targets for completing social housing in 2025 and the following years until 2030...

With high determination, synchronous solutions and drastic actions, the province can fully expect to achieve and exceed the socio-economic targets for 2025, creating a strong breakthrough momentum in the next period.
