Police discovered throwing away drugs to dispose of evidence.

On the afternoon of March 30th, the Hoa Binh Commune Police (Cho Moi District) announced that they are continuing to coordinate with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to investigate Cao Thanh Tuan (born in 1983, residing in My Hoa Hamlet, My Luong Town) and Tong Huu Tri (born in 1994, residing in Long Dinh Hamlet, Long Dien A Commune, Cho Moi District) after they were discovered and caught red-handed possessing narcotics.

The discovered evidence was seized.

According to initial information, at approximately 1:30 AM on March 30th, the Hoa Binh Commune Police conducted a patrol to ensure security and order in the area. Upon reaching area 27 (An Thuan hamlet), they spotted Tuan driving a motorcycle with license plate 50HC-1283 heading from the An Hoa ferry, carrying Tri, on Provincial Road 946. Their suspicious behavior suggested they were engaging in illegal activities, so the patrol team signaled them to stop for inspection.

When stopped for inspection, the suspect Tri quickly threw the pack of cigarettes he was holding onto the road. Suspicious, the commune police collected the evidence and found three cigarettes inside the pack; and three nylon bags containing white crystals suspected to be drugs. Simultaneously, a quick search of Tuan's person revealed a gun, suspected to be a military weapon, hidden inside his jeans. Accordingly, the commune police drew up a report of the arrest of the suspects in flagrante delicto; seized and sealed the evidence; and escorted the two suspects to the police station for questioning.

During questioning, Tri admitted that the white crystals contained in the three nylon bags were drugs given to him by Tuan. Tuan, however, denied ownership of the drugs, only admitting that he bought the gun online for self-defense.
