On the morning of June 18th, many residents discovered a large quantity of dietary supplements, comprising dozens of different types, dumped at a garbage collection point in Zone 8, Hong Ha Ward, Ha Long City. Most of them were still in their original packaging with intact labels and seals, and were mostly produced by domestic companies. Some had expired, while others were still within their expiration dates.
This morning, police, market management, and health authorities were also present at the scene to investigate and handle the case. Initially, the seized dietary supplements will be accurately classified and counted. Following this, the relevant authorities will verify the owner of the goods to clarify their origin.
According to regulations, if dietary supplements expire, their disposal must follow a specific procedure to ensure that they do not cause pollution, protect the environment, and safeguard the health of those around them.
The incident is still under investigation.
