The film 'Blood Paradise' surpasses 100 billion VND.

"Blood Paradise" becomes the first Vietnamese film in 2026 to reach 100 billion VND in revenue.

"Bloody Paradise" is the first feature film about the scam targeting Vietnamese people seeking overseas employment. The story revolves around Tuan (Quang Tuan), who finds himself in an "autonomous zone" abroad, a place where many Vietnamese are lured by promises of easy jobs and high salaries. However, it's actually a living hell where victims are held captive and brutally beaten. They are forced to deceive their own compatriots based on scenarios provided by the criminal organization.

Sharing his thoughts on "Blood Paradise," director Hoang Tuan Cuong said that the film is based on many real-life events and stories. "90% of the stories told in the film are true. The crew did add some creative elements, but everything was based on stories we heard and saw to make the film." According to the director, the biggest message he wants to convey through the film is a warning to young people. He hopes the film will be released not only in Vietnam but also in many other countries.

After its official premiere on the evening of December 30th, "Blood Paradise" maintained its recognition and appeal to audiences thanks to its topical and thought-provoking theme. Furthermore, the film crew actively promoted the film, organizing cinetours in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , and the Mekong Delta provinces, helping to spread its reach. As a result, "Blood Paradise" surpassed "Who Loves Whom"—a film released at the same time, directed, produced, and starring Thu Trang. In addition, on several days, the film even exceeded the daily revenue of the blockbuster "Avatar: Fire and Ash."

However, despite the buzz surrounding its subject matter, box office success, and cast, notably Quách Ngọc Ngoan, there have been some mixed reactions regarding the script's quality. Some argue that "Blood Paradise" only touches on the surface of online fraud without delving deeply into the tragedy of the "paradise" across the border. The flashback scenes are also heavily symbolic and sometimes overly sentimental. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that this is still a project with an engaging concept and a bold subject matter.
