For the 2025-2026 school year, Sin Suoi Ho Kindergarten has 39 staff and teachers, 415 students, with one central school and nine branch schools in the villages. From the beginning of winter, the school's management board developed a plan to protect students from the cold, focusing on reviewing and strengthening facilities and raising the awareness and responsibility of the teaching staff. Classrooms are insulated to prevent drafts, with added curtains for windows and doors. Classroom floors are kept dry and clean; children's toys and equipment are neatly arranged to ensure safety during activities. In addition, the school proactively adjusts the timetable to suit weather conditions. On days when temperatures drop, especially in the early morning, teachers flexibly start welcoming children later and limit outdoor activities. Classroom learning and play activities are organized in a gentle manner, with appropriate physical activity to help children stay warm and avoid catching a cold.
Ms. Pham Thi Phuong, the school's Vice Principal, said: "The school's management board has instructed teachers to regularly monitor weather developments and proactively take measures to keep students warm. During days of severe cold, we will flexibly adjust class schedules; and we will closely coordinate with parents to ensure the health and safety of the children."

In addition to keeping the classroom warm, the school also pays special attention to the children's nutrition. The menu is adjusted to include more hot, energy-rich dishes to help boost children's immunity. Warm water is provided for the children, and teachers remind them to maintain personal hygiene and wash their hands thoroughly. In each class group, the teachers directly caring for the children closely monitor every small detail. From checking children's clothing when they come to class, adding warm clothes when needed, to covering them with blankets and keeping them warm during nap time… everything is done carefully and thoughtfully. Children showing symptoms of coughing, runny nose, or fatigue are closely monitored, and the school is promptly notified and parents are consulted to coordinate care.
Teacher Nguyen Thi Chinh (a teacher at Sin Suoi Ho Kindergarten) shared: “Winter in the commune is very cold, so we always pay attention to keeping the children warm in all activities. During nap time, we regularly check the blankets and sleeping positions of the children to prevent them from getting cold. If we notice any other health issues in a child, we immediately inform the parents so that we can monitor and care for them promptly.”

The classroom is designed to be well-ventilated and warm, creating favorable conditions for teachers and students at Sin Suoi Ho Kindergarten to continue teaching and learning.
Sin Suoi Ho Kindergarten also intensifies its efforts to educate parents about protecting children from the cold at home. Through parent meetings and liaison groups, teachers provide guidance on keeping children warm, maintaining a balanced diet, and recognizing common winter illnesses in children.
Thanks to the school's proactive approach and the close cooperation of parents, the health of the children in all groups was generally ensured during the severe cold spell. The attendance rate remained stable, building trust among parents when entrusting their children to the school.
