Phu Tan strives to ensure social security

Typically, Binh Thanh Dong commune implements the model of "Sharing health care for the people", spreading humanity in the community by joining hands to give health insurance cards to people and students in difficult circumstances, reducing costs for medical examination and treatment.

In the context of increasing health insurance prices according to the basic level, the locality found this model very practical for people and students in difficult circumstances. Officials and party members took the lead in voluntarily contributing to support the model, while also mobilizing more benefactors inside and outside the locality to have enough resources. In the immediate future, the model supports people aged 60-79, followed by "supporting" the purchase of health insurance for students in difficult circumstances at the beginning of the school year.

After 1 year, the model of "Sharing health care for the people" has been effective in raising the spirit and sense of responsibility of all cadres, civil servants, public employees, party members, businesses, and social organizations to join hands in implementation. Up to now, Binh Thanh Dong commune has received 74 health insurance cards for 11 people and 63 students, with a total amount of nearly 32.8 million VND. Mobilization work is continuing to support the remaining beneficiaries, sharing risks with the poor when they are sick, hospitalized, etc.

Communicating insurance policies in residential areas

By the end of April 2025, Phu Tan district had over 152,700 people participating in health insurance; over 6,000 people participating in social insurance, of which 1,275 people participated in voluntary social insurance. In 2025, the district strives to develop 933 more people to participate in voluntary social insurance, develop 13,843 people to participate in health insurance. Phu Tan district Social Insurance organized a ceremony to launch the Month of mobilizing and implementing social insurance for all people in 2025, with the theme "Memories of victory - Journey of social security".

In May alone, the entire district strives to mobilize and develop at least 100 new people to participate in voluntary social insurance and 500 people to participate in family health insurance. This is not only a quantitative criterion, but also a commitment to the quality of activities and sustainability of people participating, improving people's full understanding of social insurance and health insurance. Participating in health insurance not only helps reduce the financial burden of medical examination and treatment, but also creates a community that shares difficulties together.

Vice Chairman of Phu Tan District People's Committee Tang Van Ne emphasized that the month of social insurance for all people (May) is not only a simple communication activity, but also a journey to spread the profound humanistic values ​​of social security policies. The activities focus on demonstrating strong political determination to realize the goal of social insurance for all people according to the policy of the Party and the State. The focus is on mobilizing people to participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance through many rich, diverse and creative forms.

In recent days, communes and towns have been organizing mobile propaganda, distributing leaflets, providing direct consultation in residential areas, organizing customer conferences, organizing specialized communication sessions... With the motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every subject", the peak period continues to target farmers, freelance workers and people without health insurance. In particular, easy-to-understand and in-depth consultation on insurance policies helps people see the necessity of participating in insurance, expanding the social security network, and stabilizing happiness for the whole society.

To encourage people to actively participate, the Social Insurance also applies gift giving and voucher accumulation for people's next participation; promotes digital platforms and social networks to spread activities, acting as a bridge to bring the humane policies of the Party and State to the people.
