Serving the Fatherland!

Việt NamViệt Nam11/02/2025

The official conscription day for 2025 in Thanh Hoa province is still three days away (February 14th). However, for the past few days, many emotional messages like "Goodbye Mom, I'm leaving," "Farewell, see you again on a bright day"... have appeared on social media.

Serving the Fatherland!

Every year, after the full moon of the first lunar month, the military enlistment ceremony takes place, but this national celebration of bidding farewell to young men of military age as they set off to join the army never loses its emotional impact.

This year, Thanh Hoa province has assigned 3,652 citizens to military units and 487 citizens to police units. These new recruits are eagerly awaiting their training and to contribute to their new environment.

Prior to the military enlistment ceremony, many meaningful activities were carried out by local authorities, such as organizing party membership ceremonies for new recruits; visiting, encouraging, and giving gifts; and providing support to families of new recruits facing difficult circumstances.

Before their departure, the Party committee, government, and mass organizations accompanied the new recruits, and after their enlistment, the support from the home front will remain strong and supportive, allowing the soldiers to focus on their duties with peace of mind. The military's support policy always warms the hearts of soldiers and their families.

Previously, starting in August 2024, hundreds of handwritten applications from young people in various localities throughout Thanh Hoa province volunteered to enlist in the military in 2025 and submitted them to relevant authorities.

“Youth on the training ground is the most beautiful, passionate, and dedicated period of life for the Fatherland”; “Joining the army is the only choice right now”… These words were carefully written by many young people in their enlistment applications, with the determination to continue the traditions of their families and hometowns…

These applications, written from the heart and imbued with the image of the Fatherland, will forever resonate like a flowing stream, a testament to the seriousness, responsibility, and willingness of young people to dedicate themselves. The Fatherland needed them, and they set out without hesitation or calculation. It's as simple as that. We are all proud of them.

There's a beautiful line in the song "Aspiration of Youth" that says: "Don't ask what the country has done for us, but ask what we have done for the country today."

Joining the army and police units is about serving the Fatherland and the people. And after leaving the military, each young person, with their backpacks full of experience gained in the military environment, will have accumulated many things on their path to establishing themselves and building their careers. They will be stronger and more resilient on the new front lines, continuing to serve the mission of enriching the country as the Fatherland demands.
