At the ceremony, the leaders of Nghia Do ward affirmed the great historical stature and profound contemporary value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the lessons of the August Revolution for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today. At the same time, the delegates reviewed the tradition of building, fighting and growing of the People's Public Security force; 20 years of formation and development of the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland; thereby, emphasizing the important role of the people in the cause of protecting security and order, considering this as the foundation for the public security force to perform well the assigned political tasks.
In recent years, under the leadership of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the close coordination of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Steering Committee 138 of Nghia Do ward has synchronously deployed many solutions, creating clear changes in the work of ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.
In particular, the ward has effectively built and maintained 14 topics and models on the movement of the whole people to protect national security, fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue. Thanks to that, in the past 20 years, there have been no complicated security and order hotspots in the area, no serious crimes have occurred, and criminal offenses have decreased significantly.
Through mass mobilization, people have provided more than 21,800 pieces of information related to security and order, helping the police investigate and solve many cases, reaching over 85%.
In 20 years, the Ward Police have cracked down on 224 cases of drug trafficking, possession, and transportation; established rehabilitation records for 226 subjects; managed 128 post-rehabilitation cases; and cracked down on 117 professional criminal gangs. Mediation work at the grassroots level has also been highly effective, with 1,648/1,684 conflicts successfully resolved, reaching 94.7%.
Along with that, patriotic emulation movements associated with the tasks of socio -economic development, practicing thrift, fighting corruption, waste, social evils... were widely deployed, contributing to building a civilized and safe life in the area.
Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of Nghia Do ward emphasized that in the face of the complicated international, regional and domestic situation, the task of protecting security and order is increasingly difficult, requiring solidarity and joint efforts of the entire political system and people.
In the coming time, the Steering Committee of 138 wards will continue to advise on the strict implementation of the directions of the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the city on the work of building a movement for the whole people to protect national security, step up the dissemination of laws, promote the effectiveness of the models of "Security Camera", "Inter-family safety team on fire prevention and fighting", "Public fire fighting points", "Shore team for propagating laws on crime prevention and fighting". At the same time, the Steering Committee of 138 wards will pay attention to perfecting the security and order protection force at the grassroots level, improving the quality of activities to meet the requirements in the new situation.
On this occasion, many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to protect national security were commended and rewarded.
