Phan Rang Ward launches "Hope Station" model

On the morning of June 25th, the People's Committee of Phan Rang ward held a ceremony to launch the "Hope Station" model, tasked with managing, disseminating information, educating, and supporting individuals who have completed their prison sentences and those who have undergone drug rehabilitation in the ward.

Currently, in Phan Rang ward, there are 25 individuals using drugs; 19 individuals who have completed drug rehabilitation; 54 individuals who have completed their prison sentences; and 2 individuals who have completed their sentences at a reformatory school.

The "Station of Hope" model is located at the former headquarters of the Kinh Dinh Ward Military Command, in Residential Area 29, Phan Rang Ward. The establishment of the "Station of Hope" model aims to provide psychological counseling, disseminate legal education, offer vocational training, introduce job opportunities, and assist drug addicts, those recovering from drug addiction, pardoned individuals, and other disadvantaged individuals in reintegrating into the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, the ward leader requested that agencies and units promptly and effectively implement the "Hope Station" model, promoting the role of the ward police, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and residential groups in managing, educating , and supporting people reintegrating into the community. At the same time, he urged the involvement of the Social Policy Bank, businesses, and production and business establishments in supporting loan access, vocational training, and job creation. The Steering Committee for the model needs to develop clear operating regulations and maintain practical support activities. For those reintegrating into the community, efforts should be made to overcome feelings of shame, abide by the law, actively work and study to stabilize their lives and prevent recidivism.
