Michelin-starred Vietnamese restaurant
Tonight (6.6) there will be a ceremony to announce the list of the first restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to be awarded Michelin stars. Accordingly, the event will take place from 16:30 in Hanoi, attracting the attention of many Vietnamese food lovers.
According to the Michelin Guide, this is an event honoring the cuisine of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of famous chefs, restaurant owners, media and food enthusiasts.
Invited to attend "The ceremony to announce the first list of restaurants selected by the Michelin Guide in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City", the vegetarian restaurant Hum (HCMC) said that it was extremely pleased with the recognition of the Michelin Guide for Hum.
This brand has more than 11 years of development and is loved by diners in Vietnam. The restaurant expressed its eagerness to look forward to sure steps and strong marks of Vietnamese cuisine on the world culinary map in today's event.
Accordingly, each Michelin star represents a different rating level:
1 Michelin star: Very good compared to the common ground.
2 Michelin stars: Excellent food quality, worth enjoying.
3 Michelin stars: Has a special culinary style, reaching the top.
Meanwhile, chef Summer Le of Compression Light - a famous restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City was also invited to attend the above event. “We really appreciate the recognition that the Michelin Guide has given Compress Light, especially as the restaurant is still in its first year of opening. Let's wait anxiously to witness Vietnamese cuisine and ingredients being honored on the world's most prestigious culinary stage!", this restaurant also expressed.

Not on the guest list for this event, however, Thanh Dat's noodle shop in Ho Chi Minh City was interested by many diners when sticking a board with the content "Michelin 2023 coming soon".

“I was not invited to this event, but I put it like this partly in response to the event honoring Vietnamese cuisine on the world map, and partly as a goal for me to strive to be able to achieve my dream of being a Michelin star in the future,” added the owner.
It is known that Mr. You's noodle brand has nearly 10 years of seniority in Ho Chi Minh City. The shop used to be famous for the story of stewing 1 ton of bones every day in dozens of branches to make bone broth for customers.
The Michelin Guide ranks restaurants through an awards system, in which the Michelin Star is a well-known award given to restaurants that offer the best dining experience. In addition to the Michelin star rating, the Michelin Guide also has an award category, Bib Gourmand, for restaurants that offer delicious food at affordable prices.
The restaurants in the Michelin Guide are independently evaluated by famous appraisers, through many rounds of inspection, based on 5 consistent criteria in the world such as: product quality; cooking skills; taste harmony; the chef's personality is reflected in the food; consistency of dishes over time and across the menu.
