Directed by Leon Lê, this film has won numerous international awards, including the Shooting Star Award (an award within the main awards system of the Hawaii International Film Festival). The film is currently showing in theaters nationwide.

Set in 1980s Ho Chi Minh City, the film centers around Khang (Lien Binh Phat), a young translator recently hired by a major publishing house, living in an apartment complex. There, Khang meets Ky Nam (Do Thi Hai Yen), a widow running a restaurant. One day, Ky Nam suffers an accident and injures her hand, rendering her unable to cook. Khang comes to help her in the kitchen, and love gradually blossoms between them. However, prejudice creates obstacles for their relationship…
