Many historical sites have been restored and renovated.

Over the past five years, the provincial cultural sector has carried out comprehensive restoration and preservation work on the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a special national monument, and 18 other national-level historical and cultural relics through the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2030. In addition, local people and philanthropists have actively participated in the socialization of restoration and preservation efforts, contributing to reducing the burden on the state budget and promoting community participation in heritage conservation. As a result, many relics such as the Tran Quy Cap Temple, Dien Khanh Confucian Temple, Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel, Ninh Hoa Palace, the site of Dr. A. Yersin's office, Thuan Hoa communal house, Du Khanh communal house, Tri Thuy communal house, Dac Nhon communal house, Nhon Son communal house, Xom Banh shrine, Tan Loc communal house, etc., have had their structures reinforced, effectively preventing deterioration, ensuring the preservation of their original value and serving the cultural needs of the community.

The Pinang Tac Stone Trap relic site has had its signage installed, steps and platforms for visitors constructed, and nameplates and information boards added. The Van Son communal house, a national relic site , has undergone a restoration project with a total investment of over 2.5 billion VND, ensuring the preservation of its historical and cultural value.

Propose a list of priorities.

According to Mr. Le Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province plans to renovate and restore 3 special national monuments and 20 national monuments during the period 2026-2030. Recently, the department has chaired and coordinated with relevant agencies, departments, and localities to develop a plan for the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of two special national monuments: Hoa Lai Tower and Po Klong Garai Tower. Regarding the Po Nagar Cham Towers, a special national monument, the Department is directing the Provincial Center for Cultural Heritage Conservation to research and implement a plan for the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of the monument, with completion and submission to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism expected in 2026. In addition, the province has two other scenic spots included in the restoration and conservation plan for the 2026-2030 period: Hon Chong - Hon Do scenic spot and the Ta Nang mountain complex.

Currently, the province has 3 special national monuments: Po Nagar Cham Towers, Po Klong Garai Towers, and Hoa Lai Towers; and 28 national monuments, including 13 architectural and artistic monuments, 10 historical monuments, 4 scenic spots, and 1 archaeological site. Among the 32 monuments proposed for priority restoration and preservation, 12 national monuments have been surveyed, cataloged, and a specific timeframe for restoration and preservation has been set, funded by the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period 2025-2030.

On March 30th, the Provincial Center for Cultural Heritage Preservation submitted a document proposing a list of 32 national and provincial-level relics prioritized for restoration and preservation from now until 2030. Of these, 5 relics have already had their restoration and preservation investments approved by the Provincial People's Council (Quang Hoi communal house, Hien Luong communal house, Ngoc Hoi communal house, Phuoc Tuy communal house, Dong Nhon communal house); 7 relics have had their investment proposals prepared by the Provincial People's Committee (My Trach communal house, Dai Cat communal house, Phap Hai pagoda, Binh Tay mausoleum communal house, Vinh Phu communal house, Chap Le communal house, the tomb of Minister Nguyen Xuan Thuc); and 5 relics have had their investment proposals prepared (Cau Da Villa, the site of Dr. A. Yersin's office, Thien Hau Hai Nam temple, Dong Tran military factory site, Vinh Diem communal house). Twelve relics have been proposed for preliminary cost estimates as directed by the Provincial People's Committee (Khanh Thanh communal house, the tomb of Dr. A. Yersin, Tan Loc communal house, Van Son communal house, Am Chua temple, Xom Banh shrine, Ba Vu mausoleum, Trinh Phong shrine, Khanh Nhon communal house, Dac Nhon communal house, Du Khanh communal house, Hoa Diem archaeological site); three severely degraded relics have been additionally surveyed (Ninh Quy communal house, Dong Son shrine, Dao Long communal house). To date, 22 relics have land records with VN-2000 coordinates. In 2026, the Provincial Cultural Heritage Conservation Center will implement surveying based on the current situation. For some relics that are affected by planning restrictions, hindering restoration and preservation, the center will propose transferring the restoration and preservation projects to other relics on the priority list.

It is clear that, with a clear direction and long-term investment, the restoration and preservation of historical sites will effectively promote their historical and cultural value, contributing to the development of tourism and the spiritual life of the community today and in the future.
