On September 11th, the tourism sectors of Da Nang City, Quang Nam Province, and Thua Thien Hue Province jointly organized a program to introduce tourism in the three localities in Melbourne, Australia.
Attending the event were representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, leaders of the city of Melbourne, the Australian Government's Trade and Investment Agency, the Vietnamese Business Association in Australia, the Australia-Vietnam Business Council, and nearly 100 representatives from travel companies, airlines, and media outlets in Melbourne.

On the Vietnamese side, there are 27 tourism units and businesses from 3 provinces and cities: Quang Nam, Da Nang , and Thua Thien - Hue.
The program included key activities such as creating a meeting space for tourism businesses to connect, exchange information, offer tourism products and services, and sign cooperation agreements to develop the market with Australian partners; a space for film screenings and exhibitions showcasing the culture, tourism, and specialty products of the three localities; introducing destinations, updating information on new tourism products, tourism stimulus programs, events, and festivals of the three localities; and discussing issues related to attracting Australian tourists to Central Vietnam.

At the event, Vietnam Airlines introduced its flight routes, and tourism businesses in Quang Nam directly presented to travel agencies and partners tourism products and services that suit the needs and tastes of the Australian market, as well as upcoming promotional packages.
Tourism leaders from three central Vietnamese localities shared information, images, and unique tourism products with the Australian market.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam province, said that the Australian market has always been a traditional market and ranks third in the top 10 leading international tourist markets to Quang Nam.

In 2023, Quang Nam welcomed 104,000 Australian tourists, and in the first eight months of 2024, it welcomed over 96,000. Australian tourists are particularly interested in cultural tourism, golf tourism, and sustainable green tourism in Quang Nam province. Quang Nam possesses all the necessary elements, including two World Heritage sites, international standard golf courses, sustainable green tourism, and diverse cuisine.
"This tourism promotion program in Australia hopes to open up many new opportunities, contributing to the recovery of international tourist flows, boosting the attraction of tourists from the Oceania region in general, as well as the Australian market in particular, to Quang Nam and Central Vietnam, thereby further affirming the position and brand of Quang Nam tourism as a Green Tourism Destination on the world map," Mr. Hong shared.
