Quang Ninh looks towards Lam Dong.

In recent days, the impact of Typhoon No. 13 and prolonged heavy rains has caused severe flooding in many central provinces, resulting in heavy losses for thousands of households in terms of homes, property, crops, and daily life.

At the meeting on the afternoon of November 21st, the Politburo assigned four key localities to provide assistance to severely affected areas. Quang Ninh was tasked with supporting Lam Dong province with food, essential supplies, medicine, and medical personnel. With the spirit of "prioritizing the lives of the people" and the spirit of "mutual support and compassion," Quang Ninh immediately implemented concrete measures. Essential goods were urgently gathered and transported to the flood-stricken areas of Lam Dong, contributing to helping the flood victims overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and gradually recover.

The Provincial Fatherland Front received and gathered goods to support the flood-affected people of Lam Dong province in the first relief shipment on the afternoon of November 22nd.

Following the Politburo's directive to support Lam Dong province in overcoming the consequences of the floods, as stated in Conclusion Notice No. 99-TB/TW issued on the afternoon of November 21st by the Politburo on addressing the consequences of rain and floods in the Central region, Quang Ninh province quickly mobilized all its resources and wholeheartedly joined forces to support Lam Dong province in overcoming the flood damage. On the morning of November 22nd, the Provincial Party Standing Committee met to devise the fastest and most effective support plan. Relevant departments, agencies, and units proactively participated with a high sense of responsibility, coordinating closely to ensure that all support work was implemented promptly. At the same time, the province immediately dispatched a working group led by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, along with leaders from relevant departments and units, to Lam Dong to coordinate the review and assessment of the current situation and extent of damage. This was done to develop appropriate, practical, and timely support plans that closely match the local situation.

Following the directives from the Central and Provincial authorities, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee quickly convened a meeting with relevant departments and agencies to agree on a support plan and assign specific tasks to each unit. Immediately after the meeting, agencies and units promptly prepared and gathered food, clothing, medicine, and other essential necessities. More than 40 tons of goods were carefully and meticulously packed to be promptly delivered to flood victims in Lam Dong province in the first shipment on the afternoon of November 22nd, demonstrating the province's spirit of sharing and responsibility towards those in need.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Health is reviewing and mobilizing supplies, medicines, and chemicals to support people in the flood-affected areas of Lam Dong province.

Regarding the health sector, based on understanding the actual support needs from the flood-affected areas, the Department of Health has urgently reviewed and gathered sufficient medical supplies, disinfectants, essential medicines, and medical personnel ready to be deployed to support Lam Dong province. Preparations have been meticulously carried out to ensure timely support for people in the affected areas, contributing to disease prevention and healthcare for the people after the floods.

Comrade Bui Manh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said: Following the directives of the Central Government and the province, the Quang Ninh Health Department immediately activated the emergency relief plan for the flood-affected Lam Dong province. Upon receiving the request from the neighboring province for 3 tons of Chloramine B, 30,000 Aquatabs tablets, 500 kg of alum, and other supplies and chemicals for post-flood disease prevention, the Provincial Department of Health quickly contacted relevant parties, reviewed the entire sector, and mobilized resources in the shortest possible time. Each item of supplies was continuously counted and compiled to promptly meet the urgent needs of the flood-affected area. This afternoon, all the goods will be packed and handed over, and the provincial delegation will depart for Lam Dong, demonstrating the proactive and responsible spirit of the Quang Ninh Health Department towards the people facing difficulties after the natural disaster.

The Provincial Military Command donated 1 ton of dried food and 5,000 sets of autumn/winter and summer clothing to the flood-affected people of Lam Dong province.

Support forces transported goods from Go! Ha Long Supermarket to the staging area for shipment to Lam Dong on the afternoon of November 22nd.

The Department of Industry and Trade also clearly demonstrated its leading role in mobilizing and promptly gathering goods to support the flood-affected areas of Lam Dong province. According to the Department's leadership, the Department proactively coordinated with businesses in the area to quickly prepare essential items such as instant noodles, dried food, various types of biscuits, blankets, and mosquito nets for households affected by the floods. All items were carefully mobilized and packaged, ensuring that relief supplies reached the people as quickly and effectively as possible during the first relief shipment on the afternoon of November 22nd. In addition, the Provincial Military Command donated 1 ton of dried food and 5,000 sets of autumn/winter and summer clothing; the TKV Group donated 2,000 sets of protective clothing to the flood-affected people of Lam Dong province.

Along with support from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and other socialized resources, the provincial budget is initially providing 50 billion VND to Lam Dong province to help overcome damage to infrastructure and houses for the people. Simultaneously, while actively preparing food, clothing, medicine, etc., the units continue to exchange information with agencies and units in Lam Dong province to determine the actual support needs of flood-affected people in Lam Dong province in order to further develop implementation plans in the coming period.

Comrade Nguyen Chi Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said: “Currently, we have been transporting about 40 tons of goods to support the flood-affected people of Lam Dong province, including food, essential necessities, and medicine. It is expected that in the next 2-5 days, Quang Ninh province will continue to send more relief supplies, raising the total amount of support to about 100 tons, aiming to share the difficulties and help people quickly overcome the consequences of the storm and floods and stabilize their lives. With the spirit of 'mutual support and compassion,' in addition to initial surveys and support activities, Quang Ninh province will continue to promote mobilization among the people, the business community, and organizations in the area, mobilizing all resources to join hands in supporting Lam Dong. We believe that the synchronized involvement of the entire political system, the business community, and the people of Quang Ninh province will bring timely resources, contributing to helping our neighboring province overcome difficulties, mitigate damage, and "Restoring production and daily life as soon as possible."

Emergency forces are urgently transporting essential supplies, goods, medicine, etc., onto the first aid shipment to the flood-affected people in Lam Dong province.

From the Quang Ninh mining region, bridges of love are being built, carrying the feelings and responsibilities of each citizen and organization, towards the flood-affected people. During these days, the spirit of solidarity and sharing is clearly demonstrated in every action, every shipment, every word of encouragement. Everyone shares the same heart, ready to go, share the difficulties, and soothe the wounds left by the storms and floods.

Upholding the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society has mobilized and called upon charitable clubs, groups, organizations, individuals, and compassionate people to join hands in supporting flood-affected people with funds and essential supplies. The fundraising period runs from November 21, 2025 to December 10, 2025. Every contribution is a valuable source of encouragement, helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

Trucks loaded with food, warm clothing, and essential supplies have rolled out of Quang Ninh, carrying the province's spirit of sharing towards the flood-stricken people of Lam Dong. Each box of goods, each gift package, conveys the warm message that "no one will be left behind" during these days of heavy rain and flooding. The joint efforts of businesses, social organizations, philanthropists, and individual citizens of Quang Ninh have created a powerful force of solidarity, compassion, and sharing, providing timely support to the flood-affected people so that they can quickly stabilize their lives.
