Quang Ninh establishes 84 new grassroots trade unions.

On the morning of June 19th, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions held a conference to review the workers' movement and trade union activities during the first six months of the year; to implement tasks for the last six months of 2026; and to summarize the Workers' Month 2026.

Comrade To Xuan Thao, Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions, presented certificates of commendation to collectives with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and the workers' movement during the Workers' Month and the Occupational Safety and Health Month.

In the first six months of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province focused on caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. There were no collective labor disputes or strikes throughout the province. Trade unions coordinated the signing of 35 new collective labor agreements, bringing the total to 961; and organized 151 dialogue conferences with 9,511 union members and workers participating. By June 18th, 84 new grassroots trade unions had been established throughout the province, achieving 56% of the annual plan, including 61 grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises.

Efforts to improve living conditions continued to be prioritized. During the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, trade unions at all levels visited and presented gifts to approximately 14,000 workers. In the first six months of the year, trade unions at all levels provided support and visited 10,525 union members and workers with a total expenditure of over 15.5 billion VND; and implemented 138 "Trade Union Meal - Thanking Workers" programs for more than 22,000 beneficiaries.

Trade unions at all levels recommended 131 outstanding members for the Party to consider, of which 83 members were admitted to the Party.

The conference agreed on key tasks for the last six months of the year, focusing on implementing the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; promoting the emulation movement "Excellent workers, high productivity, good income"; striving to complete the target of establishing 150 new grassroots trade unions and recruiting 20,000 union members in 2026…

The collective of grassroots trade union branches was commended and rewarded.
