Colin Cieszynski, a market strategist at SIA Wealth Management, believes gold will experience significant volatility this week, but he is unsure which direction the price will take. He anticipates another hawkish decision at the Federal Reserve meeting this week.
Cieszynski doesn't believe the Fed is ready to announce it has completed its interest rate hike cycle. He predicts the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged and leave open the possibility of another hike in December.
"The current inflation figures are good enough that they don't need to raise interest rates again, but at the same time, they haven't come down fast enough for them to say we're done," he said.
