Launching the "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen" App

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app is a smart mobile application that serves as a two-way communication channel between the city government and citizens through easy and convenient "one-touch" interaction.

Through this app, residents of Ho Chi Minh City can report incidents, submit feedback and suggestions on issues they care about. They can also closely monitor the progress of the relevant authorities' handling of these matters.

In addition, citizens can quickly and conveniently access, search for, and use public services in many areas relevant to their lives.

From the government's perspective, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app will be an effective channel for recording, managing, and handling real-life events arising in the area, based on transparently provided data.

From there, the government can also quickly and promptly provide citizens with information about the city's activities. At the same time, it can disseminate newly issued policies, regulations, and laws. In addition, it can publish news, announcements, and emergency warnings…

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also emphasized that, for the convenience of citizens in understanding and observing the process, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app will display notifications whenever there are results of resolving complaints, processing applications, or new developments in the resolution process, and will also provide urgent "hot" notifications from relevant authorities.

To install the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app, people can search for and download the app on Google Play (for Android) and the App Store (for iOS) under the name "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen".

Citizens log in only once through their Vietnamese citizen electronic identification account (VNeID account).

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee stated that in the coming time, the city will continue to listen to feedback and suggestions from departments, agencies, and users to update, upgrade, and improve the services, features, and utilities of the app, ensuring that the application operates stably and smoothly, bringing the most benefits to the people.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, in the first phase (from now until December 31, 2024), the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app will provide 12 main feature groups, displayed in the Digital Citizen section, including:

- The feedback and suggestions feature allows citizens to submit feedback and suggestions to the 1022 system regarding issues such as technical infrastructure failures; emerging economic , cultural, social, and national defense and security issues; and suggestions for the city's development...

- Education support helps people look up school information, detailed school addresses, categorized by level: preschool, primary school, lower secondary school, upper secondary school, and continuing education;

- Healthcare helps people look up information about medical facilities such as addresses and operating licenses;

- Tourism - This news section helps you look up information related to festivals, events, and tourism news about the city;

- The transportation system assists citizens in looking up and searching for information related to buses within the city, along with the convenience of monitoring camera footage on various routes.

- The project helps people search for housing projects in the city, and provides information on professional licenses related to real estate and brokerage.

- Government agencies assist citizens in searching for lists of hotlines and contact directories of government agencies in their area of ​​residence;

- Public services - File lookup helps citizens access their personal file archives, look up administrative procedures, search for administrative files, and understand the status of administrative file processing in various fields; this feature will continue to be updated so that citizens can submit applications online in various fields;

- The map allows people to use features such as location search, navigation, and directions, or to search for places within the city directly on the map;

- A shared user account allows users to create accounts, perform personalized actions, store data, access personalized services, and adhere to the app's general policies.

- VNeID allows citizens to log in through the national electronic identification system (VNeID);

- Interactive notification - news - citizen feedback: Provides notifications, news, and warnings from government agencies to citizens and may gather citizen feedback through survey forms.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen app also provides users with several other features in the "My Services" section.
