Aiming for 100% of tasks to be tracked and monitored using digital data.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement Decision 1012 of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Action Plan for digital transformation in the online and data-driven direction and management activities of the Government and the Prime Minister for the period 2024 - 2025, with orientation to 2030.

In particular, Ho Chi Minh City has set a target that by 2025, 50% of the city's statistical indicators will be provided in digital form to support its leadership and management work.

At the same time, 100% of the tasks assigned by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and its Standing Committee are monitored, supervised, and evaluated using digital data.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the issuance of this plan aims to concretize and effectively implement the goals and tasks, in accordance with the actual situation and conditions of the city.

Furthermore, the application of modern technology to support data aggregation, reporting, analysis, and interoperability among departments, agencies, districts, and Thu Duc City aims to serve the leadership and management work of the City People's Committee. This also facilitates communication with central government agencies.

The objective also aims to facilitate the integration and sharing of data, indicator groups, and indicators related to the direction, management, and socio-economic development of the city with the systems and databases of the Government Office and ministries and agencies.

According to the plan, by 2030, Ho Chi Minh City aims to have 100% of its statistical indicators provided in digital form for management and administration purposes.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City will develop and implement forecasting models, applying artificial intelligence and big data analytics technologies to predict and provide solutions to help city leaders direct and manage in a timely, flexible, and effective manner.

In the plan, the city outlines several groups of tasks and solutions such as: perfecting institutions, mechanisms, and policies; reducing reporting requirements and replacing them with digital data; simplifying and restructuring work processes; monitoring, inspecting, and supervising to support leadership and management in an electronic environment…

Simultaneously, gradually develop and improve the city's administrative information system, connecting it with the Government's reporting information system, the Government's Information and Command Center, the Prime Minister's Information and Command System, and the Government's and Prime Minister's Command Information System.

Simultaneously, the focus is on developing digital data, promoting connectivity and sharing to support leadership and management; building online leadership and management content; training and developing human resources; and ensuring information security and cybersecurity.

In addition, to improve the institutional framework, Ho Chi Minh City will review, simplify, and restructure work processes, monitoring, inspection, and supervision to support leadership and management in an electronic environment.
