Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information to take the lead and coordinate with agencies and units of the Ministry of Health to handle violations in the advertising of milk and food on radio, television, websites, social networks, online applications, and internet-connected digital platforms within their assigned authority, based on violations identified by competent authorities; and at the same time, to inspect the advertising of milk and food on licensed advertising channels and programs.
In addition, the Press Department is tasked with reviewing and monitoring advertising activities in the press, especially advertising for milk and food products; and proposing solutions to handle violations within its authority. The Department is also responsible for directing press agencies to carefully check and verify advertising licenses and conditions before publication, ensuring compliance with the Advertising Law.
The Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution is required to inspect the advertising of milk and food products in publications, ensuring that books, newspapers, and magazines are not exploited to disseminate false advertising content that misleads consumers.
The Ministry also requested the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries to coordinate and direct localities to review, compile, and handle violations related to food advertising; and to report the results to the Ministry before May 15, 2025.
The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been requested to strengthen inspection and monitoring efforts, detect and strictly handle violations of regulations on food advertising on mass media and digital platforms.
