1. An hour of sleepwalking, and the following half hour of lackluster football exposed all the flaws of a dispirited Real Madrid , plummeting in La Liga .

Real Madrid's crisis has once again worsened, in stark contrast to the performance the Spanish giants showed against Bilbao in the early match of round 19.

Lacking both ability and ideas, lacking fighting spirit, making many mistakes, and increasingly dissatisfied with the referee – that's how you could summarize Real Madrid's performance.

A superb Celta Vigo exposed the home team's weaknesses. No matter how much Xabi Alonso tried to defend them, he couldn't hide the fact that the team was spiraling into crisis.

The helplessness was evident when Real Madrid left the field with two players sent off, Fran Garcia and Alvaro Carreras; in addition, Endrick, who was also on the bench, received a red card.

In fact, even with 10 or 11 players on the field, Real Madrid is a disoriented team, unable to find its own style of play.

From leading Barca by 5 points after the "El Clásico" match, Real Madrid has now fallen to a position where they are 4 points behind their rivals. They have only won 1 of their last 5 matches.

Real Madrid's position – after dropping nine of a possible 15 points – is closer to Villarreal than to Barca's top spot .

2. Real Madrid approached the match as if it were just a "rest day," between their away game at San Mames and the match against Man City.

Despite having gone 36 days without playing at the Bernabeu, this return wasn't enough to rekindle the home team's energy. Loose pressing and disorganized ball control, even with Arda Guler starting, meant "Los Blancos" practically left the game to Celta Vigo.

The familiar whistles echoed from the stands, expressing frustration with the lethargic attitude of the players in white jerseys.

Celta Vigo controlled the ball smoothly, easily bypassed Real Madrid's midfield, and constantly threatened with incursions from Pablo Duran. A series of attacks rattled Thibaut Courtois' goal.

After a shaky first 15 minutes, Xabi Alonso had to call on players like Tchouameni, Vinicius, and Bellingham to regroup during a break in the game because Ilaix Moriba was down on the field. They all looked exhausted.

Madrid's best chance came from Eder Militao's header following a corner kick, forcing goalkeeper Radu to make a diving save.

Then disaster struck the Brazilian defender himself. In an attempt to stop Duran, Militao fell to the ground in agony. He was unable to leave the field on his own. The initial diagnosis was very worrying.

Real Madrid's injury list has grown longer. Previously, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Mendy, and Dean Huijsen were all sidelined.

3. One surprise after another, Real Madrid only really took the lead a few centimeters: Guler's shot went wide of the goal; and Vinicius's one-on-one opportunity was denied by Radu.

Real Madrid have improved, but Duran remains a dangerous threat. From a delicate pass by Borja Iglesias, he once again put Courtois on alert.

After the break, Celta Vigo lost Duran to a shoulder problem, but they didn't lose their sharpness. Williot Swedberg – who came on as a substitute – took center stage at the Bernabeu.

From a low cross by Zaragoza, Swedberg rushed in and finished with exquisite precision from a difficult position. The goal sent Real Madrid into a state of alarm.

Rodrygo immediately came on to replace Asencio. However, the goal conceded did not awaken Real, but instead threw them into disarray, like a second-division team.

Fran Garcia lost control, committed two fouls within two minutes, and was sent off. Xabi Alonso watched with a look of despair. He brought Gonzalo Garcia on to replace Guler.

Mbappe was practically non-existent and Real Madrid were lackluster, with the only notable moment being Gonzalo's header that went wide of the goal in the final 20 minutes.

Entering injury time, Carreras also went to the bathroom. Celta Vigo exploited their numerical advantage with a beautiful attack; Iago Aspas delivered a clever pass into the penalty area, and Swedberg beat Courtois to seal the 2-0 victory.

Real Madrid were in freefall. The evening back at the Bernabeu was filled with disappointment. Ahead lay Manchester City, right when Alonso's team was at its most critical point.
