The life skills classes at Moon Talent Center attract a large number of students.
These days, at the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center, summer activities are being implemented enthusiastically with classes on life skills and talents, attracting a large number of students. Ms. Nguyen Thi Cuc from Phu Son ward said: “This is the second year my family has enrolled our child in dance and singing classes at the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center. Through these activities, I've seen my child, who was once shy, become more active and quick-witted, and quickly reveal her singing talent. This has helped her break the habit of frequently using her phone, which has significantly affected her health.”

To help children develop comprehensively, the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center is currently offering training in 18 subjects related to talents and life skills, with 600-700 students participating. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Deputy Director in charge of the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center, said: “This year, the number of students registering for talent and life skills courses is higher than in the same period of 2024. Here, children can participate in and develop their talents in singing, hip-hop dancing, MCing, and teamwork skills. At the same time, they are equipped with practical knowledge and skills to protect themselves, minimizing the risk of abuse and injury.”
Not only at the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural Center, but also during the summer, life skills education centers, in collaboration with relevant organizations, organize many learning programs and extracurricular activities to allow children to experience and "encounter" various situations in life. To meet the summer learning needs of children, Moon Talent Center has opened a second branch at 36 Phu Thu Street, Phu Son Ward.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Director of Moon Talent Center, said: “With subjects such as music , painting, dance, MCing, child modeling, martial arts, and kickboxing, Moon Talent Center aims for the holistic development of both the physical and mental well-being of students. At the same time, we educate them in life skills through extracurricular activities. Through these activities, we help them develop comprehensively, become more confident, and more independent in life.”
With increasingly modern lifestyles, alongside traditional content, many centers are investing in facilities and focusing on integrating life skills through the use of technology in teaching, such as guiding children to familiarize themselves with TIC robots, basic programming, and creative group activities. Introducing technology into life skills education makes learning more engaging for children, thereby developing their logical thinking, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. This is an ideal environment for children to develop comprehensively in terms of intellect, technology, and life skills.
Summer vacation is a great opportunity for children to receive a comprehensive education, especially in life skills. However, to ensure children have a productive summer, learning more knowledge and skills to become more proactive and confident in life, parental attention and guidance are essential, even in the smallest details. Since children spend more time at home during this period, parents need to be close to them and help them develop life skills, from communication to daily chores such as cooking, cleaning, interacting with family members and neighbors, and showing care and helpfulness to those around them.
