The Am Chua festival is in full swing.

On the morning of April 17th (corresponding to the 1st day of the 3rd lunar month), at the Am Chua National Historical Site, located on Dai An Mountain, the People's Committee of Dien Dien Commune held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Am Chua Festival. Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Lam Dong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of various departments, agencies, and localities; and a large number of local people and pilgrims.

The Am Chua Festival is a traditional festival of the people in the province, as well as other provinces and cities nationwide. This festival marks the beginning of the Mother Goddess festivals in the third lunar month, taking place at the Am Chua National Monument, associated with the legend of Thien Ya Na Thanh Mau, deeply ingrained in the consciousness of the people with the saying: "Am Chua manifests humanity, Thap Ba manifests holiness." Over the years, thanks to the contributions of the people and the support of various levels of government, the Am Chua monument grounds have been renovated, protected, and attract the attention of locals, pilgrims, and tourists.

This year's Am Chua Festival takes place from April 17th to 19th (corresponding to the 1st to 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month), featuring traditional rituals such as: the traditional sacrificial ceremony; incense offerings; and performances of folk singing and shadow puppetry by pilgrims from within and outside the province. This year, the festival organizing committee has received registrations from over 150 pilgrim groups from within and outside the province. Over the three days of the festival, an estimated 20,000 people and tourists are expected to participate. To ensure security and safety, the Dien Dien commune authorities have coordinated with relevant agencies to implement plans to ensure security, traffic safety, and food safety.
