The Ba Chiem Son Festival in 2026 will take place from February 25-28 in Chiem Son village, Duy Son commune, featuring traditional cultural and sporting activities. The highlight of the event will be the procession of the palanquin and the traditional sacrificial ceremony on February 28 (the 12th day of the first lunar month), with solemn rituals.
The festival also includes many special activities such as a traditional camp, folk games, a rural night market, a welcoming gala program, etc.

Earlier, on the evening of February 27th, Duy Xuyen commune held a ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the Ba Chiem Son Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This title affirms the long-standing spiritual and cultural value and enduring vitality of the festival over time, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the local traditional culture.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Huu Phuc, Chairman of the Duy Xuyen Commune People's Committee, affirmed that this is not only an administrative ritual but also a moment to touch the flow of age-old culture, listen to the echoes of history, feel the comfort of spirituality in the hearts of every Duy Xuyen citizen, and together join in an endless love song of gratitude, community spirit, and a legend that has nurtured the souls of countless generations.
“The recognition of the Ba Chiem Son Festival as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage is a historical milestone and a great honor. But more than that, it is also a reminder of our sacred responsibility to preserve and pass on invaluable cultural values to future generations,” emphasized Dang Huu Phuc, Chairman of the Duy Xuyen Commune People's Committee.

The Ba Chiem Son Festival is a traditional cultural and religious event in Duy Trinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, former Quang Nam province (now Duy Xuyen commune, Da Nang city), held annually from the 10th to the 12th day of the first lunar month to commemorate and express gratitude to Ba Chiem Son/Bo Bo Thai Duong Phu Nhan for her contributions in supporting, protecting, and safeguarding the community of Chiem Son village in particular and the Thu Bon riverside area of Duy Xuyen district, former Quang Nam province in general.

The worship of Lady Chiêm Sơn is a unique cultural feature of the Vietnamese people in this area, in similarity to the worship of female deities among the Vietnamese people. The organization of the festival is seamlessly coordinated between the local government's organizing committee and the traditional village council of Chiêm Sơn, ensuring that the festival is conducted in a systematic manner, respecting traditional elements and fulfilling the people's religious and spiritual needs.
