The Cho Met Festival is a traditional festival held annually on the 12th day of the first lunar month. After a period of decline, the festival has been revived, carrying with it the hope of preserving, reviving, and spreading the unique cultural values that have long been intertwined with the lives of the local people.

From early morning, the traditional procession of the Saint was held, starting from the Ông Temple and passing through the main roads of the locality. Amidst the lively sounds of drums and gongs, the procession, along with a large number of people, respectfully prayed for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and bountiful harvests, marking the beginning of the festival season in a solemn and sacred atmosphere.

The opening ceremony featured spectacular artistic performances, lion and dragon dances, and the traditional drum-beating ritual, officially kicking off the spring cultural festival of Huu Lung commune.

A highlight of this year's festival is the "Traditional Market Experience Corner," featuring approximately 25 traditional stalls showcasing folk cuisine , handicrafts, agricultural products, and local souvenirs. Visitors can participate in various hands-on activities such as demonstrations of making banh chung and banh cuon (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes); a calligraphy space; and decorations using woven baskets and trays, vividly recreating the image of a rural market in the midland and mountainous regions.

On the opening day of the festival, competitions in pounding sticky rice cakes, roasting pigs, and folk games such as tug-of-war, sack racing, and blindfolded duck catching took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of people to participate and cheer, contributing to a joyful and exciting atmosphere and strengthening community solidarity.

With its unique cultural values preserved and disseminated, the Cho Met Festival is gradually establishing itself as a cultural meeting point at the beginning of spring for locals and tourists, contributing to promoting the role of culture in sustainable development, in line with the spirit of Resolution 80-NQ/TW.
